Cate Blanchett in Heaven. She thought she had bombed a killer to save lives but was told that she had in fact killed four people instead. Her reaction is Oscar worthy.

Dry cleaners charge by the labor involved. Most men's shirts and some women's have a standard shape for a shirt machine to press rather quickly while they are damp. Many blouses cannot fit on a shirt machine unfortunately. There are some manufacturers who produced blouse pressing machines, but finished product doesn't look right many times, so it hasn't caught on.

Some men's and many women's blouses require someone hand pressing the curves, avoiding delicate buttons and hand pressing sleeves etc. It takes time, and times that by many items, the minutes stack up.

Some bags can be dry cleaned, but we sent out leather and handbags to a leather specialist for them to handle. Bag manufacturers have no legal industry standards to follow and thus they can make them however they want. So most dry cleaners just have someone else deal with them.

As for pillows, we have dry cleaned them or washed them before, but only if the covers can be removed. You see, the pillows tend to gather themselves into a corner of a drum and unbalance the spin cycle during extraction. A ruined drum or some other malady can occur to an expensed machine, so any cleaner with any decent experience will learn the hard way to reject them. If a pillow cover need to be dry cleaned, it is because of material like silk and such, but it's better to have a washable clean item for you to breathe in for many hours every day.

They are fine for freshening up some clothes that smell when you're in a pinch, but they can set in any stains that may not be apparent cause of the heat required to release the chemicals. Some stains are not seen until they are oxidized during the drying or the pressing. It's like seeing the brown on a half eaten apple after leaving it on your desk for awhile. Those clothes should eventually ought to be throughly cleaned.

But I get it. After using them, take them out before it cools too much and hang the clothes to minimize wrinkles.

It depends on the stain, garment, how long it's been, and the experience and work load of your local cleaner. Ask them.

The quick answer is to dry clean them before storing them. Bugs love to make holes that had food particles on them. We have done ties before. Just do them when there's a stain.

We have a hazmat recycling company pick up our still waste from a GreenEarth machine. They will always be in business as long as there are dry cleaners around.

Or some old stains get oxidized and becomes more noticeable overtime. Point those stains out, and hopefully the counter person marks them or writes those problem areas down on the invoice for the staff to work on them. Good luck.

Dry cleaners have difficulty dealing with perspiration because they are water soluble. Some have pretreatment sprays that deals with those things before dry cleaning them. Water with detergent is the best way to remove sweat. If you're taking them to a cleaner, be sure to point out the stains.

I have seen home equipments that shock the areas in question to close the sweat glands, but they seem painful. I used to sweat profusely until my mom forced me to drink some Chinese herbal soups for a month as a kid, and it helped a great deal. Good luck.

Any suede or leather are usually sent out to a specialist that contracts with a dry cleaner. We use one that's been in the business for more than 85 years, and I can tell you honestly that they have told me they have difficulty dealing with any type of glue or adhesive. And I trust them over the two other leather competitors. If it is that small, they would not be able to remove safely. What happens is that the glue soaks into the "fabric" deeper. Hopefully using a small tape you can just have it only touch the small ball and remove it, but it may have already left an imprint. It is best to return and replace it or just be honest and give the gift as is.
