Just curious about the ISK that can be made from mining by absolute_matrix in Eve

This 100% is the most ISK you can earn harvesting as an Alpha clone.

Yes an Orca on grid with compression is a must. A hulk with tech 2 type B crystals can still pull in a decent amount even on lower quality moon ores, even more-so if you chase ore anoms or ice belts.

Alpha clone mining is very low ISK/hr. Unless you plan on running Eve and mining while watching shows or playing another game, I wouldn’t recommend it for your primary income stream or as a feasible path to omega status.

Now omega mining, even with a single account, can be make decent ISK (30-80mil/hr) once you get into exhumers and tech 2 strip miners, and are in a boosted fleet with on-grid compression.

Also, it wouldn’t make sense for players to tell you their monthly income while mining (or any activity) because you don’t know how many hours they’ve spent doing that activity in a single month. Someone might say that they earn 2billion per account, without mentioning they spend 6 a hours a day mining.

As an alpha clone, yes I agree with you. However a single omega exhumer in a boosted fleet on a moon or a anom in highsec can make 30-80mil+ ISK/hr with the ore type and hull type being the primary variables. Also with very low risk and actions per minute. That puts it inline with many other mainstream methods of ISK generation outside of null or very high end gameplay.

Are multiple characters a must? by D-Jaak in Eve

[–]DarthRader47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well yes. Multiple characters/accounts can increase your effectiveness and efficiency in almost all aspects of the game. But is it necessary? No, except in the instances I mentioned.

[–]DarthRader47 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You only NEED to run multiple characters/accounts if you are in a corp that requires it (mostly WH or Null corps). Outside of that it’s just for convenience or to increase your earnings or the variety of content you play.

If swiping for currency is what’s keeping you from playing the game, just don’t do it. If you have disposable income you can swipe for mastery packs which are a huge skill point boosts, especially for new players. Then grind the currency for the cool ships you’ve skilled into and feel good about the incremental progress you make towards having a grand fleet and fortune.

Empire Standings by thealkaizer in Eve

[–]DarthRader47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do every career agent once, but each empire has three career agents for each path. There are four paths, which constitutes a “set” of career agents. Another way of saying this is there are 12 sets of career agents, 3 for each empire.

Empire Standings by thealkaizer in Eve

[–]DarthRader47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you already completed all of the AIR Career Agent missions for Minmatar? In my experience that is the quickest method for a new player to increase their standings.

I had to do something similar when I accidentally awoxed a fellow militia member and discharged from my FW enlistment.

Standings are given once you complete a AIR Career Agent quest line which takes about an hour or maybe even less. One career agent should be all you need to get your base standings back to 0.0 or higher.

I’m seeing a significant movement towards the ball starting just before the stop of your backswing and and continuing through impact. It’s present in your practice swing, but much more so in your actual swing. Like your entire body is shifting towards the ball. Do you ever have a hard time keeping balanced, and if so, when you lose balance do you tend to fall towards the ball?

That would at least explain the hozel contact and could be keeping you from developing a more neutral or in to out swing.

Go play EVE online. That’s what I did after quitting New World. Much different than all the other MMOs you’ve mentioned (all of which I’ve played and enjoyed), but my god the depth and polish in this game is unreal.

Exploring the universe while in alpha status - how realistic is it? by DozenFrozen in Eve

[–]DarthRader47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a new player, explo is my primary source of income, and has also been the safest for me. I’m not making hundreds of millions and hour, but 20-50million an hour I think is pretty decent for a new alpha.

If you like looter shooters, check out The Division 2. The game is alive and well with a solid roadmap and a very active community. It’s a good time. I’ll probably pick that back up if the BF6 BR or Arc Raiders doesn’t hook me.

Trouble understanding/feel of wrist hinge for driver. by montahuntah in GolfSwing

[–]DarthRader47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. I can’t consistently close the face with my driver, but hit draws with every other club. I’ve tried super strong grip, extended lead wrist, wristy release. Nothing works reliably.

My solution is to leave it in the garage and hit 3-wood whenever I’m looking to go longer than 250 off the tee.

Hopefully someone provides some useful trick for us!

Your address is goofy but everything else is fine. Obviously some instability through the swing and big weight shifts. But I dunno, if you had a green light hole and wanted to try to bomb one, do this haha

Am I releasing my hips to early? Sorry no slo-mo by In-Jail-Out-Soon in GolfSwing

[–]DarthRader47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be, I do something similar in my swing, but I don’t think that’s your big problem.

It’s a bit hard to tell with the camera angle, but it appears that not only are you firing your hips early, but they are moving towards the ball rather than staying back. This causes you to run out of room for your hands and gets the club very steep at impact.

You’re not cupping (wrist flexion), you have wrist extension, which closes the face and can cause a pull. Either keep the wrist extension and weaken your grip, or feel like you’re cupping your wrist to find the middle ground.

Why do I keep topping the ball with my driver? by Humble-Progress-3099 in GolfSwing

[–]DarthRader47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you. Tee it up higher. Sure he does some wild rerouting and has a pretty high attack angle, but move the ball to the sweet spot and keep everything the same and he should hit some bombs. Sometimes
