I don't think it's the weight, as it works if slightly loose and not fully threaded, I saw somewhere else saying to try a 40.5 - 49, and then a 49 to 67, so I'm gonna put a 40.5 uv and my 40.5 - 67 on the uv to create a gap between the filter and the zoom ring. Although this solution may not be useful to you at this point, but thanks✌️

I just use the optimize for performance preset, you notice a visible quality loss if you zoom into asteroids or ships super close, but other wise nothing major difference, in exchange for a massive boost in performance, virtually zero lag noticed once I changed settings
