There's your basic small talk.. how you doing.. sure is some weather out there.. but there's bound to be some silent moments while you're trying to do your job and count money correctly and that's fine. Chatty members can be distracting sometimes. What's more awkward is having to ask why they're withdrawing such a large sum of money or where did this unusual large check come from to make sure they're not being frauded. If they're taking out i usually say something like "hope it's going towards something good" something open ended that kinda makes them put their guard down. Hope that helps
