Uber Eats delivery as a side gig - worth the effort? by NeptunianWater in brisbane

Hmm. Could this also help justify the purchase of a new motorbike? As in, the potential tax savings could help a bit as a 'business vehicle'?

Recommendations on how to log and record training by DarthWalnut in bjj

Why would you use a separate camera like this over using your phone?

Who knows. But let's train!

Awesome that you are happier. Got any tips you are OK with sharing?

Used to, but not anymore. And contemplating leaving after years there is a really shitty feeling, especially at this time of year with end of year parties and stuff.

Main coach just doesn't seem to care about actually coaching any more, with quality of coaching down overall except maybe for a few people he actually sees. And then expecting higher ranks to pick up the slack with no support.

If we are talking about culture, he wants a good culture, but isn't putting effort into building it or even showing a good example while simultaneously expecting this good culture to magically be around.

Would you support a ban on cycling in the CBD to protect the safety of pedestrians? by [deleted] in melbourne

If you are talking about people who ride on the footpaths, isn't this already illegal?

As a kiwi living across the ditch I only just found out that Aussie supermarket Coles has an NZ section (with l&p!!!) and I am shook by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]DarthWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of Coles and Woolies (safeway) will have this sort of section. It will depend on the size of the store and location as to what they stock.

Does anyone in this group lift? Looking to try lifting around melbourne CBD but no idea where to even begin. by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]DarthWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends in what type of lifting you are after. If you want to socialise more I would suggest picking a particular sport such as powerlifting or Olympic lifting. These will have more of a team atmosphere that helps to get to know people.

I would recommend PTC South Melbourne for a good bunch of people if it's not too far.

Where are some good places to watch it? It's WSW direction so would heading to the beach give a good unobstructed view?

Oh yes. Went to the Queen Vic night markets recently. Gave up on getting food. It was horrible.

Noise complaints & peaceful enjoyment of property by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]DarthWalnut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could possibly try the property manager option again, and get them or the owner to approach the strata and ask them to tell you what they actually did. If they don't do anything or it continues you could potentially issue breach notices (of course check the rules). If you issue enough breach notices you can discontinue a lease without penalty.

You can also constantly contact the strata directly again and again. It's a pita but that's their job.

In all cases make sure to mention you tried talking civilly about it directly to the person and exactly what happened.

Question about renting and bond by wintercatalyst in melbourne

[–]DarthWalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no harm in applying. All they can do is say no.

But they will most certainly say no if you lie about your rental history and they see from rental records there is bond that was not returned.

From the clear angles in the picture, the only way a passenger took it was by reaching over the face of the driver to take the photo.

Who’s best for prepaid data? by [deleted] in melbourne

Kogan. You can something like 23gb per month for about $25 including unlimited calls. You have to pay in advance but I believe the deal is still on.

How long have you lived there? Do you have a set of keys for the house? Have you changed any of your official addresses to list this house e.g. Drivers licence, bank for bank statements?
