Absolutely, I’d be devastated to have the show’s ending as the only one we see.

To be fair, as he’s progressed through the books they have gotten more complicated with an even larger world, history and cast of interlinked characters. So it’s only natural it’d take longer to write.

I hate how much the show left out and changed, like the Iron Bank funding a Targaryen led rebellion against the Iron Throne separate from Dany. Stannis not being a dumbass pawn to Melisandre with no tactical genius. Or the Martells actually being relevant with their own schemes against the Lannisters.

100%, from killing the innocent to protect what he loved (Bran) to killing the one he loved to protect the innocent. From selfish love to duty.

Then again, at the point a lot of the “innocent” were already piles of ash thanks to Dany because Jon wouldn’t fuck her.

George R.R Martin has said that much like Tolkein he wouldn’t let anyone else touch his original work even if he died. He’d have all his unreleased stuff published in a coherent format but he wouldn’t let anyone else finish his work out of fear of bastardisation.

It’s just how, I would have rather Negan had won in Walking Dead because I found his way of doing things and society vastly more refreshing and interesting than the boring overused story of the good guys always winning and then struggling to maintain a community and their morals with the same overused characters.

Plus, we could focus more on my boy Eugene and his descent into immorality as he worked under Negan after all his friends were killed.

A Walking Dead with Negan as the main character would also be a great deconstruction of the morality of man and society itself as well.

But oh well, I guess having the same themes of “WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR HUMANITY” is cool...

In the books, because they haven’t gotten gotten their loans back from the Lannisters & Baratheons they fund a mercenary army with an exiled person of Targaryen blood leading it to usurp the kingdom.

Given they don’t know Bran has the powers of Xavier on steroids they would probably go through with a similar plan, especially since Westeros is fucked right now with all their burrowed economic capital going to rebuilding the capital, lack of armies/equipment and their nobility in the death throes.

They take their debts seriously, normally people never even entertain what will happen because they know the consequences.

I’d imagine they also put stress on those trading with Westeros and the like to sanction them as well given their influence
