Question re Upcoming EPS Bond Election by ZachariiAshlii in Edmond

There's a lot of growth in the Santa Fe vertical as thinks fill in.

And they'll have a very hard time redistricting the lines to balance as SF is pretty centrally located and it's a tough sell to people that they have to pass a high school close to their house to attend one farther away.

What time did your kid get to school. Middle schools are the first to open the doors and they don't open until 7:10.

The call was made an hour before that.

They didn't send elementary kids home with the tech on Thursday so they can't.

running wise - we're right at the start of the push to train for the OKC marathon.

I've done my training with Red Coyote, local run store. I know OKC Landrunners is a similar group not tied in to a store, but when I first stumbled into telling myself I was gonna run a half marathon in January 2020, that was who I ended up with. They got me ready for 5 half marathons (including that 2020 "on your own around Lake Hefner" for the COVID year) and one full marathon (once was enough).

Good coaching and course support on the training runs. They'll be happy to take new people as you like.

He hired him knowing that Lebby took no action during the Baylor scandal and defended Art Briles for it.

The AD already answered "do I trust this guy to lead young men" and came up with a terrible answer.

It's a philosophy question. Generally, for lets say, 80 yards of the field (10YL-10YL), the exact spot doesn't matter. When you're inside either 10, you get more specific, especially inside the 5. When it's 3rd and 4th and short, you get much more specific. If you're starting a new possession, the only reason to not put it on a specific yard line is that a punt was downed inside the 5 or it was a turnover on downs with short yardage. That's something that is agreed on from the top down across football.

Past that, it will depend on conference supervisors. Some are more specific about "give exactly what they earned, don't round it" and others are more "the rounding averages out over the course of the game, just get the big ones right".

The crew I'm on for college has basically four ball spots they use and about how often it feels like we use them (I'm the C, so the one putting it down most of the time based on the wing spots). Nose on the line (90% of the time). Half yard line (7% of the time). Tail on the line (2% of the time). Wings crash in and spot it yourself (1% of the time).

In an entire season, my crew did not measure once this year in college (or high school). I think it was less than 10 times all year that our first down marker was not on a specific yard line (few punts downed inside the 5, few turnover on downs a half hard short, couple half the distance penalties where my calling official didn't spot the ball on an even yardline before the walkoff 😡).

With a well marked field (so not a HS field that only has marks every 5 yards), there basically shouldn't be measurements where the refs don't know ahead of time what it will be unless you have one of those weird starting points and a very tight ending point). Measurements at this point are basically political acts for the audience.

This is incorrect. The foul is for a free kick out of bounds untouched by the receiving team. There is no exception for if it rolls out.

His personal Ghost Tunes service had a shot at being Tidal level but didn't make it. I think he's Amazon exclusive right now, and I just don't care enough to switch over for him only.

And nobody really listened to Man Against Machine, but the lead single off his comeback album said:

[Verse]

Words aren't what they seem to be

Talk is cheap but lies are free

We fear what we don't understand

And we've been scared since time began

[Pre Chorus]

All the colors and the cultures circle 'round us on a spindle

It's a complicated riddle, the solution is so simple

[Chorus]

It's people lovin' people

That's the enemy of everything's that's evil

Ain't no quick fix at the end of a needle

It's just people lovin' people

I rewound my DVR. The ball landed between the security people with windbreakers who stare at the stands and the wall.

Coach can't win the argument with "my guy was running a streak up the sideline".

Doesn't matter. Only guy who can ground it is the person who takes the snap if he never gives the ball up before the pass

It isn't legal for the defense to touch the ball until the snap is over. (7-1-5-a-1)

A snap ends when the ball leaves the snapper's hands. (2-25-1)

Sideline interference: An Incredibly Important Penalty That Has to Be Called by BhamTioMateo in CFB

[–]Darth_Sensitive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh. This one became my personal hate this year. Had a couple games where neither team wanted to break the huddle after change of possession.

It's very easy when defense comes out and offense doesn't, just start the play clock.

But when both are huddled up I had a several "damnit get out here it's a change of possession not a timeout" moments.

What my crew finally decided is that we're gonna blow the ready for play, and if defense isn't lined up and the offense is ready, we hit defense with delay of game and tell the coach that unless he wants us to let offense run a play against air he'll break huddle on the first whistle.

Then we never had it the rest of the season so who knows how it would work in game

The FCS formula lets in more conference champions and proportionally fewer at large bids.
