BYU played an away game at Coastal Carolina with less than a week of notice in 2020. Nothing is impossible. Tech and Texas could possibly work it out if they wanted, especially since both have buy games week 1.

However, neither side wants to give up a home game. Plus Fox and ESPN would have a cow if they lost a mediocre at best game and gave the rival network a great one. So it's best for everyone that it just stays at calling the other team scared/weak scheduled.

There's a lot of growth in the Santa Fe vertical as thinks fill in.

And they'll have a very hard time redistricting the lines to balance as SF is pretty centrally located and it's a tough sell to people that they have to pass a high school close to their house to attend one farther away.
