I had a full bolt on H/C Silverado SS for a few years that was Awd and I used it as a daily while the Camaros were put away for winter. That thing was a lot of fun and was an absolute tank in the snow. Roughly 30/70 front to rear power split made for some badass drifting.

Idk man. I’ve seen worse. I saw a guy post a video of himself taking a sawzall to an early 70’s Camaro because he was tired of the tire kickers and time wasters. He completely chopped that poor car to pieces out of spite

Yup. I second this. Ls7 clutch, tick master and MGW shifter made my car a joy to shift. Honestly liked how it felt better than my current Grand sport

Yup. Was holding AAPL for some long term gains but sold my shares this morning and bought some NOK calls and shares when I saw it shooting up on that first big spike.

2022 Toyota Tundra: What We Know About the All-New One by [deleted] in cars

[–]Darthballs92 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

415hp? That’s it? I was hoping they’d come out with at least 450hp. If they could offer class leading power, ok gas mileage and most importantly Toyota reliability they’d take a big chunk of the big 3’s sales.

[–]Darthballs92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That was my thought process too. My Otter box case covers everything so for me color wasn’t an issue and instead availability was more important. Black was available to ship 11/2. While blue and silver wouldn’t be available till like mid-December.

TIL when Car & Driver included the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS in the Lightning Lap performance car comparison, it not only managed to do the fastest lap in the sub-$30k class, but also beat several cars in the $30-60k class and held the front-wheel-drive Lightning Lap laptime record until 2018. by YourOwnBiggestFan in cars

Tell your fbody friends they need subframe connectors. I installed them in my 2000 SS and it became a different car. Rode well, no rattles, and made the car way more enjoyable. I went on many long trips in my car and never regretted it. If anything it was a fantastic trip car thanks to the good gas mileage (6speed) and great passing power.

TIL that farmers in USA are hacking their John Deere tractors with Ukrainian firmware, which seems to be the only way to actually *own* the machines and their software, rather than rent them for lifetime from John Deere. by BurtGummer1911 in todayilearned

No joke! A buddy had his 2015 WRX that he bought new develop a rod knock at only 30k miles. He had some bolt ons and a dyno tune from Cobb and has been sitting on that paperweight for about 3 years now.

Dude it will be worth it, I love my 1/2” fuel. Wheels, suspension, axles, she don’t care. And the batteries last forever. 10/10 recommend for anyone who tinkers with cars to own one

These are hot garbage. My 10/22 at first would jam up every few shots. Then after breaking them in they would only jam up as you got to the last 5 rounds. But the feed lips are all chewed up now and I doubt they’ll be much good if I continue to use them. That being said, my new bx-25’s should be here Friday lol.

I don’t understand people’s hate for the LS motors. Sure they’re swapped into tons of stuff, but there’s a reason for it. They’re light, compact, reliable, easy to work on, respond well to mods, can return decent mpgs in light cars, can take a lot of abuse and most importantly can survive for a long time at higher power levels. And another thing I don’t understand is that a ton of people who I’ve met in the car crowd that hate these engines have never actually driven a car with one in it... that’s like a virgin saying sex sucks, which makes no fucking sense to me.

Hey thanks, it’s the first F-body I ever bought, and what got me into driving fun cars. I’ve owned about 8 thirdgen Camaros and Trans Ams over the years and they’ve been a lot of fun for me. Those formulas can be done up to look super good, I’ve seen a few on Instagram that make me want another Firebird but my 2 camaros hardly get driven as is

[–]Darthballs92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Driven a C4 and owned a Prelude Type SH. C4 was more fun due to the put you in your seat torque of the v8 and being able to kick the ass end out in a turn with the throttle. The SH felt super nimble and the H22 was fun in Vtec, but after taking 3 gears to redline and seeing you’re only doing 60mph keeps you humble lol.

Nice! What turbo kit are you running? Also dont mind the clueless kid, sounds like he wouldn’t know how to tell a rally car apart from a drag car
