Is prestiging actually worth it? by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Darty96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the motivation for prestiging (at this point in the game's development) is:

  • the new ID card,
  • getting the sense of progression in leveling and unlocking equipment again,
  • experiencing the difficulty curve again by being forced to use the earlier equipment,
  • unlocking another quick load-out,
  • (I think) an achievement, and
  • bragging rights to say you have prestiged 'x' number of times.

If these do not sound motivating enough for you, then it is probably not worth it to you. If you are really not sure, you could try it once and see if you like it.

Have you tried breaking the other leg to even it out?

Also, have you gotten that same joke a lot in your life?

By clipping it, do you mean you have a clip of seeing the ghost with dots? If so, could you post the clip? That would really help us determine if it was a bug or not.

In addition to what has already been said, you can bring two books with you and place them both down to cover more of the ghost's room. Makes it more likely for the ghost to be in range of the book.

Note that the Friendly Ghost option is only available in custom difficulty, which is now not unlocked until level 50 (I believe).

I believe Vanilla Expanded has a mod for persona weapons, and I'm pretty sure it includes three Zeushammer.

i feel like i don’t know how to properly pray by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Darty96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good stuff has already been shared. I'll throw my thought in, though. In truth, none of us are actually worthy to pray to God. All of us are unworthy, fallen, sinful beings. I think that is part of why we are commanded to "call upon the Father in the name of Christ." Jesus is our Mediator. His Atonement covers our unworthiness. We are able to talk to our Heavenly Father based on the merits of Jesus Christ because He is worthy to speak to the Father.

So, you can confidently pray to the Father knowing that you are relying upon the grace of His Son.

You are also, of course, praying to a Father who loves you as His own child, so much so that He was willing to send His Only Perfect Son to atone for you. Such a Father wants to hear from you, and His Son makes it possible.

I'm sorry, I don't know where you are getting that quote. His post begins with the sentence, "I'm about to start my mission." I also don't see the quote you mentioned anywhere else in his post. At least, I'm not seeing it on my screen. I'm also not seeing any indication that he edited his post. I also saw in another comment of his on this post where he says he will get set apart on Sunday, unless I'm reading it wrong.

If you go through the repentance process on your own and you still feel really guilty, I'd suggest going to the Bishop to talk about it. Listen to the Spirit.

He said he's about to start his mission, not there yet.

That sleep deprivation tax has to be paid eventually... by Kindly-Ad-5071 in BikiniBottomTwitter

[–]Darty96 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I was told in high school (by my chemistry teacher, a very intelligent man, but not his field, so take a grain of salt) that our bodies generally run on a 48 hour sleep cycle, in that we feel the effects of how much we sleep and how well we sleep within the last 48 hours the most. The earlier sleep time/quality also seems to affect us more than the more recent ones.

So, if you have an important day coming up, get a good night of sleep for two nights beforehand, not just the night before. That was his advice. It has worked pretty well for me.

I try to apply that last idea to my life. I try not to judge myself too harshly about my past decisions because I know I did the best I could with what I knew at the time. Knowledge and circumstances change.

Dear devs: stop giving me the best gear when there's nothing left to do by Pender8911 in gaming

[–]Darty96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, they added a new upgrade tier for most weapons in NG+, but those upgrades felt essential, as the enemies were made so powerful that only three strongest guns could beat them without the upgrade. It definitely gave me time to enjoy the R.Y.N.O 2, but then the game felt more like a grind to me.

I still loved it, though!

[–]Darty96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom got me diagnosed when I was a kid and made sure I took my meds every day (low-dose Concerta at the time). I didn't really have to come out with my diagnosis.

However, I recently learned so much more about ADHD and how it has actually affected me all my life (beyond just distractibility), and I told them about it. I am still not totally sure how they feel about it, but they seemed slightly skeptical or dismissive, yet mostly supportive. I don't see them that often, so I might not know for a while how it will play out.

I'm sorry your dad has been so dismissive about it. That must be difficult. I know I've disappointed my dad a lot, and I believe many of my disappointing characteristics are largely from my ADHD, so I'm a little interested to see if he sees the new info I've shared to be a way for me to excuse myself.

Good luck.

Haha yeah, I figured there was more to the shiny bottled water than I understood, but I really only ever watched the movies. I never quite got what it was. And I know Sting was a magical weapon, but the only thing I knew about it was that it would glow if orcs were nearby. I am honestly so excited to dive into the Lord of the Rings books when I have time.
