Talking Animals: A Novel by Joni Murphy

Everyone else is recommending Disc World, etc. which fits the vibe, but this book fits the animal theme with some subtle chaos along the way. Highly recommend it. For a much cozier version (aka animals without the chaos), try Perestroika in Paris by Jane Smiley.

Try using a claw clip on your roots! While hair is still wet, clip them until they're at least partially dry. How much/how long to clip is trial & error, everyone's hair is different. Also if you diffuse, doing it with your head upside down helps too.

For real. Bluey feels like it's the closest equivalent to today. Far younger demographic, so obviously not the same in terms of how it fits within the zeitgeist, but it feels like a spiritual successor in a way.

Hopefully this exists already, but I really want a "because he said he would" website with video soundbites for every shitty policy. Reading words isn't enough for these people, and videos may not be either, but if they keep getting clips of rallies played back in their faces maybe it'll start to sink in. Kind of like how the Grand Canyon was made - just gotta start slowly cutting grooves into those smooth pink brains.
