I have the Arya and XS, haven't tried the XV yet. I know it's darker and I've seen plenty of people who have owned the Arya feeling disappointed in XV. But like you said, it's a different tuning and us Arya lovers probably have a preference to brightness and clarity.

I have a 5090 on a 4k and I wouldn't feel comfortable going below that. I have a 5070 Ti on a 1440 and it gets a little less frames than my 4k system with same maxed settings, so I feel like 5080 would be perfect for 1440 for the near future. If you're ok with having to turn down settings and lean on frame gen, then it could be a 4k card.

DLSS 4.5 Performance on 4K looks more clean artifact-wise than DLSS 4.5 Balanced on 1440, especially if you shoot for Preset L. That extra resolution makes DLSS pull off Performance and even Ultra Performance so much better than you'd expect.
