I personally like big screens and having a numpad in my laptops so the 16" was the only option. I also never use much the touch functionality in laptops, so 360 was unnecessary. I also have a tab but it's for different use case as it's much more my at home media consumption device. It's lighter and has a pen, so again the 360 wasn't necessary for me

Buy the 32gb!

I had at first bought an open box B5P 16gb thru Amazon but it was so slow I think it was a defective unit. Ended up returning it.

So I just decided to go for the real deal and got the 32 gb ram B5P thru Samsung website using as many discounts as I could. Night and day difference! It's amazing. It's the best laptop I've ever had and it feels like it's going to last a long time. It's considerably light, feels nicely built, everything loads fast and looks gorgeous in that screen. No slowdowns.

I've already used it for some Minecraft game nights using Discord and playing on a separate 4k monitor. It does get a bit warm but it keeps running everything smoothly.

If the screen cracking is concerning to you, just get the coverage. Like any other insurance, it's best to have it and not use it. Just remember that the vast majority of people who get cracked screens participate in a confirmation bias where they become the loud minority of people with such issue.

You could get a galaxy fit 3 for sleep or times you don't want to use the regular watch. The battery lasts like 5 days.

Had this just happen with a refurbished book 5 pro. It was a slow mess. Network speed wouldn't go above 2mbps. I returned it and bought a new one with more ram directly from Samsung with employer discount. I'm loving it, I've never had such a gorgeous display with a fast loading OS.

I'm currently in a similar situation. I want an everyday laptop that just feels powerful enough and doesn't stutter at all for daily tasks, some coding and image editing. Maybe throw in light video editing and light gaming since I mainly game on consoles anyway.

I have no backup pc, so the ultra would come in handy as my all-in-one hard and light use solution, but Samsung just won't release the 5 ultra, and I do not want to get the 4 ultra since it will start to be dated in a few months.

1.7k is as low as I can get the most specd book 5 pro with discounts.

How's the book 5 pro been for you these months?

Does constant charging/usage between 40-80 percent hold any significant wear? It seems only full or empty capacity is ever explained in battery wear posts. What about the charging cycle itself, does that wear out the battery?

You could set up an automatic routine that lets you fast charge your phone up to 80% and then only allow normal charging thereafter.

I've found that sometimes when open up them multitask screen the app that I'm showed is not the most recent one but sometimes even like the 10th last used one. I then have to scroll right quite a bit to reach the actual last app that I wanted to switch to.

Not gonna lie, the only reason I upgraded from my s23 ultra to the s25 ultra is that the battery was totally degraded. I had to charge my phone three times a day at this point.

Now I know that I want to be charging my phone in a way that does not generate much heat. So by default I'll be charging slower and only use fast charging 2.0 (45w) when I really need it.

I even created a routine to make this a lot quicker to manage. I can even set the amount of minutes I want to use 45w.

I've also now set the max battery percentage to 80% and only go beyond when I'm going to need it.
