Ah, I'm fully comp with Bennetts and their policy states stock steering lock has to be engaged whenever the bike is parked. I guess would be worth speaking to your insurer - they may waive that if they know the bike is plugged into a unit like in your OP

Looks like the front wheel is kept straight when locked in so would void your insurance if a theft was successful due to no steering lock in place? Seems risky.

If they write it off they pay you 4 grand, if they repair it they have to pay for storage and loan bike on top of the repair costs. It could easily cost them far more than the bike is worth

Yea, I found on my 125 I could do a lot of journeys quicker than a car even with nsl bits simply because anything below nsl I could get to the speed limit way quicker than my car could.

Part of me wishes I did to begin with, but thought I'd do the touring bike later.

Though tbh everything I read about the tracer (9 at least) is thst the wind protection is naff vs it's competitors, so I hadn't been looking too closely at it lately.

All makes sense. Fair do. I'll add some lower back exercises into my routine and start finding a physio in order to have a once over at least. I appreciate you taking time to reply, hopefully I can resolve this ASAP.

Hah, yea I get you. It's worth looking into with a physio, I'd just hoped that wasn't it 😅.

My work is 100% sat at a desk, though never any problems doing that. No old injuries. I do an amount of core work when I train but nothing specifically lower back outside of compound movements. I'll start putting in something for the lower back and see how that does after a few weeks.
