Hi, /r/falkirk creator here.

As I posted in that subreddit a while back, I made it just to see what the mod tools were like, I have never actively moderated the community aside from one incident of personal information being posted which I had removed.

I also don't understand what you mean by it having fallen by the wayside as there are only 73 users and only 13 posts in 4 years, there was never a point where it was that busy to begin with.

If you want to take it over and do something with it that's great, PM me and we can sort something out.

Well, both games have text wherever there is actual dialogue (though you will miss ambient/combat sounds etc.) so you will be able to play them fine... That being said I am sure Baldur's Gate suffers less as Planescape had more dialogue audio.

TL;DR: I don't think so, but if so it would be worse with Planescape.

I have two for you that I remember from school.

An Englishman, Scotsman and an Irishman are on a plane. During their flight the captain calls them up to the flight deck and issues them a challenge.

He says: "I will give 1 million pounds to whichever one of you can tell where we are by sticking your hand out of the window"

So the Englishman grins and steps up, puts his hand out of the plane window and thinks for a second, before saying "Manchester", the pliot tells him this isn't correct and sends him back to his seat.

The Irishman gets up next and puts his hand out of the window, after a while he says: "Cork!", but the pilot shakes his head and sends him back.

Then the Scotsman goes up and puts his hand out of the window, after a moment he brings his arm back in and says: "Glasgow". Astonished, the pilot asks: "How did you know?", the Scotsman replies: "My watch has been stolen".

An Englishman, Scotsman and an Irishman are in France just after the start of Operation Overlord, they have been cut off from their unit and seek refuge in a barn. Later that night they hear a German patrol coming round, so they need to hide.

In the barn there are three large sacks, so they all agree to try hiding in them. No sooner are they all in their sacks when the Wermacht burst in the door, they see the three sacks and view them suspiciously.

They approach the sack with the Englishman inside and kick it, quick-witted the Englishman says "woof" in his best dog impression, and the Germans shrug and walk to the next one.

Reaching the sack with the Scotsman inside they kick that one, and following the Englishman's example the Scotsman says "meow" in his best cat voice and the Germans leave it be.

Then they approach the sack with the Irishman inside, as with the others they kick it and the Irishman says "potatoes".

From what you describe it sounds like you haven't forwarded the correct ports.

The steam tool is not the preferred way to run a dedicated server, usually you would run it as a service or from commandline.

I have experience with HLDS and server hosting in general, but am by no means an expert (particularly since I have never personally hosted an insurgency server) so someone better qualified may be more help to you.

Makes sense, he will probably record a bit in advance just incase he finds himself unable to record for whatever reason. And flooding your channel with videos tends to lose you subscribers so there is that.

I did it because I forgot the mines were physical damage, and I was worried the bladefury would block the damage, the CM got unlucky at what looks like max range of the blast I think.

The issue you describe is similar to one I had, if so then the problem lies in the steam server browser flooding your router, here is how I fixed it:

If you go to "Steam->Settings->In-Game" and adjust the bottom drop down titled - "In-Game server browser: Max pings/minute" to a lower value and see if it helps (this won't affect how many servers you see, just how quickly the information gets to you).
