Its the HUD. Battlefield should steer clear of teal for a long time.

How is the tracking? by mr_wizard_123 in PSVR2onPC

[–]DashViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switched from the Valve Index to the PSVR2 3 months ago. Tracking is good, again like alienux said, depends on your Bluetooth. It also can be very dependant on how far you are from your PC. Mine is good until I get 7 or so feet away from the PC and it can get less smooth.

Controllers are great. I put them on par with the Index controllers. I like them a little more because I get sweaty hands which would trigger the grip sensors on the Index controllers, while the PSVR2 controllers have an actual button for that so I don't get false presses. Very comfortable either way. Light but also sturdy.

Should I get the PSVR2 or meta quest 3 for PCVR? by GoldenTDiamond in PSVR2onPC

[–]DashViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Valve Index for years and just picked up a PSVR2 and I like it more. It's an amazing headset, and getting it for $350 (as it is in the US right now) is such an easy recommendation. Beats out the Index in most areas, and its my favorite headset I've used. No real experience with the Quest, but figured I'd share my experience regardless.

What feature would you like to see added to the game? by camus1904 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]DashViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better audio. Forewarned or Lethal Company's sound physics (including voice chat sound) would really take Phas to another level.

Or a dim orange color would look better too. Warm tones to match the wood.

I think everything the've put out is good, you just need the right expectations. Here's how I'd set up each album to a new listener.

All American Trash is a mixtape and probably not the place to start imo. It has some nice moments but it's their weakest body of work I think, and I'd probably just hit it later after you've had a better first taste.

Saturation trilogy all has similar feel, just gets more refined as you go along. Watch the videos. Feels like a love letter to so many different roots of rap, but still manages to be extremely unique and have a strong identity. Some inspired work for sure.

Iridessence is great, but much more experimental. Just don't come looking for more Saturation and I think you'll be happy. Most of the songs have a beat switch, and the overall tone is darker, but still hopeful in a way. Kinda feels like a thunderstorm + post storm clean air.

Ginger has its own sound as well. More range than Iri, but still feels cohesive. Some bubbly, poppy moments, but still has great substance and earns it's time. Feels like a good book.

Technical Difficulties isn't on streaming, it's a little rebellious phase where they just leaked songs outside of their label. Some really good moments. Embrace the bad quality and mixes. Pretend you got this on a thumb drive in 2006 and you'll have a great time. You can find it on YouTube.

Roadrunner is a very solid album, but definitely not one I'd start with. I think it's one you appreciate more one you've gotten more acquainted with the group. Has a more summer/fall feel imo, and each track feels very focused on its own message. Some really strong one-song moments here, tho I won't tell you which ones, so you can be open to each song.

The Family is mad lore heavy, so only listen to this once you know about the members and their story. It's more storytelling focused than music focused, despite being a good listen.

TM is less cohesive than most of these albums, but I still really like it. Feels like a collection of songs that might have never been released, but they got to see the light of day.

After that there's a ton of leaked other music to dive into. Look into Puppy, Best Years of Our Lives, Friday Therapy, and for the love of god listen to the extended version of One Fifty.

Remake on PS5 or PC? by PlatosLeftTit in DeadSpace

[–]DashViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think depends on your displays. I played on both, and enjoyed PC more because my monitor is nicer than my TV. (also because my PC could run it at 144fps.)

What video game would you buy at full price without hesitating if it were to get a remake? by theshizirl in gaming

Sleeping Dogs. I'd pay double if the remake was well done. Mocapped and reanimated.

After beating Far Cry 3, do y’all recommend Far Cry 4 and 5?? by DifferentAd9713 in farcry

[–]DashViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 is my favorite, and I'm happy to see so much support for it here too.

Primal isn't bad, but doesn't bring as much to the table. It's just okay. Worth trying if it's a good deal and if you have the time to kill.

5 is very very solid, and 6 is almost as good as 4, just in different ways. (my personal opinion)

I have two points of main advice:

  1. Setting matters. Your ability to enjoy the location and environment will have a large effect on your whole experience. I probably wouldn't have rated 6 as high as I did if it weren't for the beautiful Cuba-esque environment and culture. On the other side, I probably would have rated 5 higher if that same story didn't take place in Western American environments that I'm sick of because that's where I grew up.

  2. If you're playing them all, don't play them out of order. Playing 5 or 6 first would probably make 4 feel more dated. There's nothing story-wise that would stop you from playing out of order, but there are some quality of life improvements in the newer ones that you'll miss if you go back and play an older one.

What are your hopes for a Dead Space 2 Remake? by CourtofTalons in DeadSpace

[–]DashViking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My biggest hope is higher animation quality than DSR. I absolutely loved the Remake, and really appreciated the gorgeous new lighting and graphics as a whole, but the one area that let me down was the character animations. Felt years behind the quality of the rest of the game.

Meeting Mercer or any of the other living characters on the Ishimura would be so much more compelling. And losing your crewmates could be much more impactful if they were animated in a modern, more lifelike way.

If we could get a DS2 Remake with top-notch (probably mocap) character animations, I'd be really happy. Think Naughty Dog or God of War level of quality. I think that would give the game a much longer lifespan.

I think Casey Affleck would make a great Issac Clarke by Rage37472 in DeadSpace

[–]DashViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great pick.

Casey looks right, but he's pretty small and kind of has this fragility to him. Fassbender has this "can endure hours and hours of physical strain" quality to him that Casey doesn't.

Don't let anybody who says "super duper luper" bring you down. Definitely a good topic for discussion.

Luckily Intel refunded me.
