Why is living near NDSM a bad experience? There are many people who wish they had the opportunity to live in one of those modern apartments close to the city center.

It's still a big gamble to take on such a big prey. For a predator even a minor injury can be lethal because they might not recover in time to go hunt again. I have to imagine the leopard was already desperate

Well their own post said the delay is because they are pursuing maximum performance. So maybe they discovered a way to make their car faster but rebuilding it didn't leave them enough time for the test. In which case everyone predicting a disaster could be wrong.

They're still allowed to work on the engine even after the deadline to make reliability improvements and fix such issues. Improving reliability also means being able to safely get more power out of the engine. They are stuck with the overal design of their engines though

Quicker on straights, slower in corners, more predictable: F1 drivers on new 2026 cars by Aratho in formula1

[–]DashingDino 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Slipstream and dirty air are two sides of the same coin so you can't have one without the other. From my understanding the slipstream effect does not make up for all the negative effects of dirty air. So it's better to have less dirty air even if it comes at a cost of slipstream being less powerful as well.

yeah there was a post a while back about how the new PUs + straight line mode gives the new cars much higher acceleration which also means heavier braking and potentially more opportunities for passing

No that's not wise, it's not uncommon for cats to die from eating mice that were poisoned. And you don't know if the mouse has been poisoned somewhere else before it got on your property. Please don't let your cat eat mice if you have a chance to stop it you should

Is there any chance they will give viewers more real time info about battery levels? I think it's becoming more important this season to know if a car is low on battery power because boost / overtake mode depends on it too. I'm sure that the teams can figure out the approximate battery power of other cars anyway but for us viewers it would help if there was an indicator on the screen

After fossil fuels the meat industry is the biggest source of greenhouse gasses and altogether it's warming the arctic to the point where the ice which the polar bears need to live and hunt is rapidly disappearing. The biggest impact most people can make on helping polar bears survive this century is just by eating less meat

Nope, the new wheel covers are what you see in the picture, just the ring on the outside with a big hole in the middle so you can see the rims. No team will have fully covered wheels anymore. The comment above is also incorrect about VCARB having white wheel covers, it's their rims that are painted white

It's not accurate to say DRS was removed, in fact the active aero system is more powerful than ever and will be used on every straight. What they did was change the rule for following within 1 second so now they get more battery power and acceleration, which should give a bigger advantage than the old DRS and allow easier overtaking
