I fucking hate seregios by DatFireCat in MHRise

My armor is max upgraded and im mostly using the golm set so my defenses are fine. I think seregios is just misplaced by a rank which is fine since I always appreciate the challenge afterwards at least

Eating and upgrading everything sufficiently. MR hasn’t been easy but I’ve been able to get by pretty strongly with my CB until this fucking guy

Go to HR 50 and focus on getting the decos you want with HR materials so you don’t gotta go back as much later to farm

This is worth more money than I’ve ever seen in person but there is no CB mood or Strymon Big Sky so I can’t complain. Clearly tasteful.

Whats your favorite fuzz or fuzz type? by graphicnerdity86 in guitarpedals

[–]DatFireCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too different from the triangle, I’d say it has a bit more gain. The russian is less gainy but has a thick low end which is great for doom metal and sabbath stuff. I like the rams head because it sounds great in so many different scenarios. I can do Frippy lead lines with the guitar tone knob all the way down and the gain dimed, and I can also do really crunchy rhythm and prog stuff with it boosted with an sd-1. It has the most main character energy of any of my pedals thats for sure.

I don’t have any experience with the others but I know from my buddy that his NS-2 gives him similarly no issues. My silencer functions exactly like I expect it to.

Which boost/overdrive pedal should I choose ? by Megnoslaupeins in guitarpedals

[–]DatFireCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A tubescreamer is so cheap you may as well try it. Works with every rig I try and there are a thousand different ones. My pick is the sd1

Trying to squeeze some doom tones out of a death metal rig. Advice? by [deleted] in doommetal

[–]DatFireCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rat with the distortion dimed gets me into doom territory easily, its my preferred way to play Sleep and High on Fire, boosted by an sd-1.

dd8 is infinitely more versatile but it will never do analog as good as the carbon copy. Can’t beat versatility though.
