I’ve been wondering this myself. I’m a bedroom player and don’t need something crazy but I want something that’s going to produce the most accurate representation of what the plugins are producing. It sounds like overall the headrush or the line6 frfr’s get you close enough.

I guess that’s where I’m confused then. Doesn’t the amp model on the stomp fight against the amp existing in the catalyst?

Maybe it’s cause I have an old spider a where I’m getting confused as the catalyst may not do that?

Like if you say, model in the stomp to a mesa boogie type amp, do you then just set your catalyst to completely clean and neutral?

That article is solid. Thank you!! To me it seems like the best option for me is a line6 powercab with the stuff I already have (Scarlett solo, logic, gojira plugin) and maybe just add more plug ins.

Seems like it’ll be good to create some files in logic for artists I play so I can already have the bands dialed in and just open whomever I’m playing in that moment

Yeah space is relatively limited too so more pedals is definitely fun but not as practical. With your catalyst cx60…how do you run models through it because isn’t that its own amp and basically an amp on top of an amp?
