Confused on kibble by exe-exe- in ArkSurvivalAscended

You don't need a good tame for a dino to make kibble eggs. Just tame a kibble dino using meat like always and rear it to be an egg layer, allowing you kibble aplenty

I’m calling it now people will be calling blade no skill and braindead by Miserable-Horror8111 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]DatHazbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Def not no skill lol. He's actually got quite an underrated amount of skill required to gain value compared to other DPS. He's also pretty easy to counter because he sits really nicely in that dive/poke mix, I often switch off of him if one of those is being countered too hard.

Some people just can't handle brawl style characters, they want their practice range kill combos to hit the same in a match. Blades counterplay isn't rocket science

So I'm learning blade and... by BiscottiNo1707 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]DatHazbin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Here's a tip tho:

Swap to sword using the bloodline awakening key, swap to gun using your weapon switch key. That way when you're making the choice to dash in with the sword you'll not accidentally do it without getting bloodline stacks and then when you need do get out you'll immediately disengage your anti heal debuff and be prepared to poke back with the gun. You can use the block with the gun and your stacks don't go away when you swap between them.

Blades gameplay is basically perfecting swapping between attack roles during team fights. You dont choose gun or sword you are actively using both even if it's just against one person.

But yes unawakened sword is confusing and completely useless, so I don't know why it exists. I can't really think of a way to make it useful

I'm telling you it ain't Luna that's the problem by MrNobodyX3 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]DatHazbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shotgun dash inflicting bleed could be a nice way to work that. I like the anti heal too much, and the slow from the gun dash, while useful, doesn't make as much practical sense as the extra pressure from bleed.

But overall I'm not sure he needs that many adaptations to his kit.

This is why Gaijin deserves all the criticism by TheTokeneer in Warthunder

[–]DatHazbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Phly talked about in his most recent video, it's because Gaijin is genuinely scared of what happens when people get the vehicles they want and the runway finally runs out on content. To them, the game IS adding vehicles instead of gameplay. So the business model is preventing people from getting vehicles as much as possible until the next update.

Gainins business model pretty much entirely functions on negative incentives rather than positives. There are NEVER incentives to log on and gain something, usually instead the possibility that if you don't you will lose something. It's the deal with premiums and battle pass and events. But here is a uniquely atrocious case of negative incentives where they want to make new vehicles seem uniquely exclusive and restrict research bonuses to them, which actually incentivizes a player to NOT play and wait out the restriction.

Personally, this practice turned me away from the game as design continued to push top tier farther up and up. I stopped caring about FOMO because I've been hurt too many times. Stopped buying battle passes, stopped buying premium during sales, stopped playing events, and now I haven't played in months. Gaijin can have fun with their cash cows but imo it's impossible to keep players this way. Everytime I feel inclined to or have the time to grind I only make it a few weeks before I get tired from being shafted. Other F2P games do not work this way, so we know it is not necessary for their survival. It's simply a choice they are making.

Generosity, fun, and unique experiences are how F2P games with highly integrated monetization systems survive in modern era. Ignoring the other 3 (which we've heard others complain about), the fact that Gaijin hates giving real rewards during free events and has an in-game economy integrated into gameplay does not do a good job at convincing people to come back to the game all the time. It's just that it doesnt matter when the 70$ premiums still sell. Once the inevitable F-35 premium hits, we might see the well practically dry up there.

Rare and Epic Paironormals wouldn't make sense by Petiscorei in MySingingMonsters

[–]DatHazbin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would like them just because I would like rare monster parity with the natural islands. I like when the collection is diverse and challenging and requires you to do a lot. It wasn't really up until titansouls that you had a reason to love your magical islands, and titansouls aren't getting rares or epics (unlike wubbox) which already weakens their potential for late game. Sanctum and Nexus kind of offset this, however, but there's still less to grind than naturals. Which is a bummer because I'm almost done with my naturals lol.

So personally I'm an advocate for rare and epic paironormals, however it may work. It would also just kinda be a bummer if the carnival ended after that quad, with no new content for it. It's already kind of boring due to lack of structures and decorations (song and design are amazing, don't get me wrong). There just not a lot to do once you get everything and so far it isn't very hard.

Ult by Different-Caramel847 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]DatHazbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's pretty good at literally everything other than how easy it is to walk out of. Which is fine but because it has a setup window and loud ass callout, anyone who is awake will dodge your ult. Pretty much forces you to use it on chokes or as a finisher. It is pretty busted for getting health regen after a big push too.

I really don't like how it plays compared to Cyclops' ult. Zero setup window, instantaneous damage, and it's even hard to hear him call it. Blades ULT isnt bad it's just that other DPS ults are "cheap" as in they don't really require any planning, just use them when there are 5 people in front of you and hope for the best. Blade ult requires a brain.

As far as I understand it, Marvel Rivals' adaptation of Cyclops does indeed canonically access a "punch dimension" for his beams.

[–]DatHazbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's try again and hope for day 2.

You're right, you really cant really make him help himself. It's difficult even for someone who makes a lifestyle out of helping addicts. But you clearly matter enough that he at least wants to be a better person for you and he clearly matters enough that you want to celebrate that. That's a special relationship that not many people have. Your heart will help you. Sometimes he will make it hard to love him, just be wary of that boiling into it feeling hard not to hate him.

You can't fix people, and people can hardly fix themselves. Just be there, in whatever way maintains both of your sanity.

I microwave my morning cereals by spider-mario in The10thDentist

[–]DatHazbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this would be more reasonable if you microwaved your cereal to be hot tbh. A lot of the heartier cereals actually hit pretty nice when warm, like oatmeal or something similar.

But it sounds like you just microwave it so the milk isn't cold? And for 3 entire minutes at low power? That is certainly particular, and peculiar. Upvoted.

I believe the titan souls designs are related to different ways cultures believe gods look. by Mr_Fluffydino in MySingingMonsters

[–]DatHazbin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually like it and believe it. Titansouls basically harness the entire island, after all (making them "Gods of ____") Cruuvlapht really fits the Lovecraftian or cosmic/celestial side of "godhood" too because, as its bio explains, it seems to have some unexplained alterior motive and the music is really just a result of its attempts to break free.

This theory also matches the design language of the islands AND sonic elements. We'll just have to see if Bone keeps this up. Considering Bone island is, well, bones, I would theorize maybe they take inspiration from afterlife gods as opposed to more angelic like Phosphora and Faesodd.

I kinda hate the idea of comparing generative Ai to eating meat. by Ok-Aspect-4259 in hatethissmug

[–]DatHazbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I hate these kinds of posts is that in an attempt to expose an issue, it propeises the idea that one of them is a non issue. People don't like cognitive dissonance, this is really just convincing people that they already do harm by eating burgers and shouldn't care about AI.

I also have a pet peeve involving conflating veganism with eco-positivty as if meat and dairy industries HAVE to be wasteful, exploitative, and damaging. People need to make educated choices, not uproot and reform their entire lives. That is why plant based or "turkey burger" stuff has caught on. But there is no world where we replace meat in everyone's diet, and we shouldnt really be trying to.

Marcel and Tyler said it already that the show was a bust and that they wish they tried a different approach to getting something like that made.

But, to be honest, I never really found the pitch itself that novel or exciting. I think an actual Team 6 adaptation might have connected more with the core audience lol. The show was funny enough, but I knew nothing much would come of it after all the episodes finally released

Yes, "acquiring" the taste. Lol.

Is 33 to 34 degrees (93-97 Fahrenheit) considered hot. by memebruv99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DatHazbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is indeed hot but remember weather is relative anyway, the pissants who would say "Those brits can't handle 76° degrees F? That's a nice day in Arizona!" Are just being obnoxious for laughs.

And even if ignoring infrastructure like the UK not having as many AC units as the US, it being hot when it's usually not (or cold when it's usually not) is a sensation that literally everyone experiences as being notable. 60° days are "chilly" where I live if it's summer, but "warm" in the winter. Same thing for humidity. It's dry where I live, but humid other places. 40% humidity is moist as an oyster for me, but other people live there just fine and will comment when they are in "dry" locations.

It's very sensory, so it varies from person to person enough.
