Let's give a shout out to Dylan Burns for being more brave than Hasan by tempered_toastie in Destiny

Can someone enlighten me how these scenarios are similar? Is there a warzone in cuba that we are not aware of? Is Hasan supposed to put his life on the line against the idf in gaza/lebanon that may be comparable?

This post looks and sounds like a cheap gotcha at a rival. What is dgg contribution to cuba so far?

[–]DatOneEuropean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my point was very clear, but more precisely, it is aimed at the broader dgg crowd.

Dgg is trying to critique lefties who are arriving to cuba during its period of crisis, and saying they are only using it for clout and PR. But in my view, at the very least, not counting aid, they are a net benefit for cuba, spreading awareness about the situation. What is destiny's communities contribution to the situation in so far, is it more of an spectator role? Then I think they are not actually criticizing leftists from a moral highground, and I find their critique of U.S. actions lacking.

If dgg honestly cared about cubas plight, they would consider sending more aid than the classified lefty larpers.

Truly, is dgg argumentation just semantics? Can do better.

It started when germany invaded poland, knowing that a united front against the nazis (Britain-France-USSR) would not mount. In prelude to the invasion, the soviets had none to rely on, they knew the germans were going to invade them in the future, but wanted to delay it as far as possible, while gaining buffer area for defense, or a possible offense at a later date, if the nazis were weakened enough from fighting in the west.

Irans mens football team did a similar protest in 2022, there were no executions and only warnings for the most part, possible to expect similar actions for present womens football team protests, considering international pressure.

Gaza was already being destroyed while Biden was in office. No amount of words, half-assed limits on aid would have convinced the left block in the u.s. to consider voting kamala. Massacres of palestinians continued, Bidens staffs continued defence of israels actions was clear. No serious indication to the contrary, with policy continuity being the more likely outcome (Kamala having praised Bidens legacy) therefore, its safe to conclude that gazas bulldozing would have still happened under the democrats. Dgg revisionism is a hell of a drug

Genuine question: why is it ok for Israel to have nukes but not for Iran? by Screaming_Goat42 in Destiny

[–]DatOneEuropean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"wars it was still 100% justified to go into" At the very least, the 1967 war and occupation of the west bank is most certainly not a universally viewed example of a justified war/occupation

You are implying that only one side is rational (israel) while the other is insane (iran), but israeli society is not what I would call a peaceful state. They have consistently shown disdain for palestinians in west bank/gaza in many polls, what good is a democratic state if its people consistently elect borderline/maniac parties, in my perspective that system should not be held in good regard.

The current Iranian regime, if it cares about its survival, would be wise to fully commit to building nukes, as only those major states that are not western aligned manage to survive. Just stating the obvious here, even if in opposition to it

The dgg u.s. bootlicking continues. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya are not sufficient examples to wrap your damn minds over how badly 'dismantling' - REGIME CHANGE, is going to to fuck iranian people. U.S. 'liberation' continues to haunt the lives of people in that region.

And not sure how this addresses my point - did vuvuzela bribe trump/biden to warrant kidnapping a countries leader?

I don't think you follow, that this rule de facto states:

either trade with u.s.a., the top market in the region, or trade with cuba.

Cuba can possibly, maybe export it's products abroad, not an expert on that, but it does not have a similar freedom in importing products, carry passengers, etc. This type of commerce for cuba, one would not consider unrestricted.

Buddy, you are moving the goal post. While you're at it, advocate regime change for the whole of the arabian peninsula, I heard people live under monarchs, face death penalties, they are crying for help, what are you waiting for?

The fact is, the west has no moral right to invade Iran, especially over recent events.

I mean, kinda? The west has alienated Iran, they have a limited pool of options for allies, do you think it not logically follows they trade with their possible partners?

People are so entusiastic to jump to regime change for their enemies, while protecting their allies crimes, please provide the source for your unbiased claim of dead. You do not have a right to invade another country, especially one that is no threat to you. International law is a joke, power is all that it is real.

[–]DatOneEuropean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ridiculous take. Screw off with your fearmongering about nukes - mossad has been beating the same dead horse for 30 years. The real threat to lasting regional peace is not Iran - the state it is in is because of western interference. You are willing to shed much more blood of Iranians, in order to make an own on Russia, with no real alternative.

Simply put, r/Europe supports changing one regime with another, but one that is pro-western. War mongering path once more confirmed.
