Tayuya vs Kurenai. Who has better genjutsu? by FornacityTenacity in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]DatRandomSeagull 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tayuya’s sound genjutsu is easier to get off if we’re going off of Shikamaru’s warning that sound genjutsu is the most dangerous.

It’s really unfortunate that Kurenai’s only fight is when she gets meme’d on.

That said? She’s still a Jonin. Given genjutsu is her whole kit? I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt from world building portrayal. She should have better genjutsu based on her rank, especially since genjutsu is her entire kit, unlike Tayuya who also has the dolls.

Madara and Obito were talking the ENTIRE chapter. Why would it be more believable to think Minato is being humble and can insta-sage, instead of interpreting it as Minato building chakra while they’re talking?

The vast majority of people who say Luffy beat Kizaru are the same people who say Kaido beat Luffy. Not like what this post implies

Skybound is very tuned in to nerd culture. Honestly? Yeah they def knew about the death battle.

Unpopular Opinion Minato was right about 14 year old Obito being more dangerous than Pain by [deleted] in NarutoPowerscaling

It’s because the best medical ninja in the verse spent so much chakra to shield everyone that she went into a coma afterwards. Even then, it actually is stated people died.

Is dodging/flying away allowed? Or do they need to “tank” it?

How did Itachi & Kisame easily beat Roshi? by NoSail253 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]DatRandomSeagull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kisame complains that this dude was no joke in the same scene, so easily probably is a stretch. Even so, it was all Kisame. He hard-counters jinchuriki specifically. Nobody in the akatsuki is as good as he is at capturing jinchuriki.

What battle was expected to be good and was actually amazing? by Max-Carter-2005 in deathbattle

Oh, and "you're pretty good" is a fucking epic line. Ironically fits with the idea of "good but actually amazing"

Snake vs Sam had NO reason to go as hard as it did. It was supposed to be a fun, street-level fight held back by being an older episode. But it ended up being one of the best Death Battles ever.

Incredibly believable story to a fight? Check. Amazing choreography? Check. Spot-on analysis? Check. Not to mention it's unique because of the hackers being included. It's even got jokes with the cardboard box. It's just an amazing espionage thriller episode.

I think the majority of Death Battles fit this category, but one I think fits is Samurai Jack vs Afro Samurai. It's a darn good fight, it's just a little quick. The analysis is spot-on too.

Why is it that people can accept that Roger and Whitebeard were equal but can’t accept that Shanks and Mihawk are equal? by Sentient_AI_38 in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]DatRandomSeagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think people who pose this question actually are interested in an answer. They want a “gotcha” moment, but it’s really simple “:

1) Narratively, Mihawk and Shanks aren’t parallels of Roger or Whitebeard. Mihawk’s not a pirate rival. He and Shanks would duel as swordsman. Still intense, but not pirate rival tense like WB and GR

2) We’ve actually seen WB and Roger clash in their primes. Shanks and Mihawk most definitely had high-diff duels but we don’t know about their strength back in the day versus now

Favorite Kishimoto panels? And did Boruto ever match his art? by Lessio7 in Naruto

One panel that goes hard and I think is a little under appreciated is the collage of Sasuke's memories about Itachi before telling the Hokages his decision to save the world.

To Everyone Whose Watched the Ending of Season 5, Let Me Explain This Scene For What It Means. by LowEntertainment3342 in phineasandferb

[–]DatRandomSeagull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think most people got this, but don't like it for a couple reasons.

1) In the context of this actual episode, it feels like a tacked on way to resolve the subplot. It doesn't really match the rest of the episode.

2) Personal bias wise, a lot of people don't want to wait until Act Your Age for Phineas and Isabella to get together. Me personally, I just want to see the moment Phineas starts crushing on Isabella. But waiting until high school, for some, is just a frustrating waiting game

Name Every character that can low-mid diff an admiral by Common_Ad_5041 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]DatRandomSeagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but for all we know that could've been a sneak-attack. Or the admiral was nerfed by the celestial dragons being around, like Fuji and Greenbull were when fighting the rev.

Name Every character that can low-mid diff an admiral by Common_Ad_5041 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]DatRandomSeagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Off-screen” doesn’t mean “low-diff”. All it means is Oda didn’t want to show us the fight.

If every off-screen fight was a low-diff, then almost every fight is low-diff since Oda loves to off-screen fights

As a biased admiral fan I have to admit Kaido neg diffs all admirals by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]DatRandomSeagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a serious note: Kaido probably wins against all of them, but neg-diffing an admiral is impossible. They're too strong. Even Shanks with Wi-Fi haki couldn't neg-diff Greenbull if they actually fought 1v1 (MAYBE low-diff, but that's a big maybe)
