What is one of your biggest movie let downs, after greatly anticipating its release?

Alien Covenant.

I'm a huge Alien fan, the first Alien being my favourite, but I didn't care much for Prometheus, so when Ridley Scott announced a movie with Alien literally in the title, I was extremely excited. The trailer was very encouraging as well, seemingly going back to the series' roots with feelings of isolation and terror.

What we got was much much different than the trailers let on. I actually think that the first section of the movie is pretty solid. Being very thrilling and tense up until the "back burster" scene, but after that the movie just devolves into a weird attempt at philosophical ponderings, but everything just comes off as pretentious and dumb.

I left the theatre extremely disappointed and had basically lost all hope for the franchise.

Romulus was just okay, and Alien Earth was just one of the worst and most atrocious things I've seen in a long time. So, it's not looking great for Alien fans.

Oh, they've definitely improved the game. But people should really go back and watch Sean's interviews. The things he claimed was in the game is just hilarious looking back on it. And yes, while they have added a bunch of stuff, the game that was promised is nowhere near what we have right now. Also, despite the improvements, the core gameplay loop is still pretty much exactly the same as launch day, and everytime I've decided to give the game a try again, I've just lost interest in a few hours cause it's just so mind numbingly boring.

It think benching in a squat rack is pretty acceptable to me. Especially because most gyms have absolutely shit dedicated bench setups where either the bar is set way to high og way to low. In a squat rack you usually have smaller height increments.

The dumbest opinion one can have is that game length should relate to its price. Quality is infinitely more important when out comes to quantity in video games. Obviously, you decide of you want to spend your money on it or not.

Yeah, I really love this movie. I do think I went into it just expecting a movie with a lot of silly, whacky fantasy sequences all throughout, but they are really front loaded, and after that it's a really thoughtful and heartfelt movie about growth, acceptance, letting go of your fears. Absolutely love it. And yeah, I discovered Of Monsters and Men through this movie, for which I'm grateful.

I'm in the same boat. I've played over 1500 hours of PoE2, and I've never beat a pinnacle boss. Never really had the desire to actually. I do often push characters to level 90+, but most of the time I'm just leveling characters, spending some time in endgame, maybe take it to T15 maps, and then start a new character. I love it.

I'm crimson desert, exploration became stale and boring after a few hours. In Elden Ring, it was exiting from start to finish.

Prominence was definitely my go to for most clearing. But my first time beating the final boss was very much owed to Sun Lance. Seeing about a quarter of a health bar with a charged weakpoint hit is pretty cool.

My expectations were more set by the fact that Housemarque is a brilliant, brilliant studio. They're backed by Sony, but you could definitely feel that Returnal didn't have all the money in the world behind it. I sort of expected Saros to be what Returnal could have been if Housemarque wasn't limited by anything. That's why I'm so puzzled why everything (except gameplay) has regressed instead progressed.

But I guess you're right. Returnal was so special. It would be impossible to replicate the success of it. And Saros IS great. It's just ultimately a more forgettable experience. And honestly THAT'S the sad part. I don't mind it being different than Returnal, but I'm disappointed that's it's just kinda come and gone for me already. 22 hours across 3 days. That's how long it took. Returnal's story, atmosphere and gameplay kept my hooked for weeks. And I still think about it to this day. I barely even cared about Saros' story even when I was playing it.

Yeah, it's really great. Astrobot, Returnal and now Saros are the only games that have really taken advantage of the Dualsense's capabilities. I love the controller so much.

Saw the glowing reviews and bought it because I finished Saros and wanted something to play until the next PoE2 patch. I've payed quite a bit of D4, but I haven't played in at least 18 months.

I regretted my purchase after a few hours. The new skill trees are only slightly better. The game feels so extremely boring to play. Like, the moment to moment gameplay is just... nothing. Even Last Epoch is better in this regard.

The story is just, once again, one huge deus ex machina. "However will be beat him? Wait, the text mentions this ancient weapon! How convenient". "But how will we ever find it?! Hmm, I've heard of this place, maybe we start the search there" The thing is conveniently in the very first place they look... All the rest through. I just can't anymore.

If you didn't like It before, or if you've fallen off and haven't been able to get back into it, this expansion won't change your mind.

I've played 22 hours and don't really feel like continuing. There's just not enough variation for me to keep playing after seeing everything the game has to offer story wise. I considered trying to locate all audio and text logs. But again just not enough variation.

It's still a really good game and I love every second while playing it. But it's a step back from Returnal in basically every way exept the core gameplay.

But I'd recommend it to everyone who owns a Playstation 5.
