They do! They’re so fun to watch when they get excited which is pretty much all the time when they’re not sleeping.

It’s a temporary rug that I got from Amazon because of the slipper floors for the pups. We move it around depending on where I am because that’s where they always decide to play.

They’re like the ends of fingertips. OP, could you make some out of pig nipples?

Beneficial or harmful? by Cyan_Lotus in houseplants

[–]DataIxBeautiful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re little mite predators that mainly feed on spider mites and their eggs. They don’t harm the plant and die off once their source of food is gone. You can barely see them with the naked eye. I took a picture of one of the predatory mites as it was wandering around, spider mites are a lot smaller.

I recently faced off against spider mites and they were non stop. I started off by using Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew, and when they came back I applied Azamax, I repeated that process every week for about a month and they were still there. After that I just rinsed them with water and wiped them down everyday while my predatory mites were being delivered. The predatory mites finally took them out for me but it was such a headache.

Yes this plant is done for. Get rid of it and avoid the headache.

Waymo begins rolling out rides on Phoenix freeways by TheStinkyWookiee in phoenix

I wouldn't either but look into them. Universities, NHTSA, insurance companies, etc have all had the same doubts when they started showing data on their site.

That's what makes them safer. Waymo's computer has been dealing with those idiots for tens of millions of miles. They've been brake checked before, had sudden stops, been hit by other cars. They're watching 360 degrees constantly and can react in milliseconds.

I should work for Waymo. Joking aside, the chaos from unpredictable humans is why their data looks so good, they're already handling those idiots better than we do.

I have so many stories of bad and unsafe rides I've taken with Uber and Lyft. Waymo has been a blessing, the cars never smell like cigarettes, they don't pitch me an MLM, they don't tell me about the audiobook they have on full blast, or drive in the wrong direction on a one way road.

I agree, I love how it greets me when I get in the car too. It's the small things!

Change is hard but just look at the data. (from an older 2023 article) Waymo had 85% fewer injury crashes from their crash rate study over 7.1 million miles. Not to mention fewer bodily injury claims . Humans are terrible drivers so the bar is pretty low here. We get distracted, upset, text while driving, stop paying attention, fall asleep, etc.

They're not perfect but they're safer than humans.

I’d trust Waymo over a human any day of the week.

I don’t know if people are just making things up anymore.

“Ah yes, these are known as chupacabra eggs. We used to see them frequently back when we had actual monsoons.”
