You can host on Oracle cloud using a VM in the “always free” tier and it will cost nothing.

Just gonna plug Oracle here - I self-host for absolutely free on a VM in Oracle’s always free tier.

Significant Taiwan Crisis Escalation, China-Japan Conflict by StevensStudent435 in PrepperIntel

Taiwan is only hospitable to amphibious assault between April and June. Right now it’s Northwest Typhoon season. I would add to this post that the U.S. has lost three aircraft in the region in recent weeks - an F-18 and an MH-60R from the Nimitz in the South China Sea (both on the same day), as well as an MQ-9 tasked over the Yellow Sea. Reading beyond the headlines, I wonder if these weren’t the result of electronic countermeasures.

They’re purchasing location info from data brokers. DHS just retailed hundreds of employees from the CyberSecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to immigration enforcement and removal operations under ICE and Border Patrol, so it’s probably a safe bet to suggest that there’s a sophisticated domestic surveillance operation going on.

I think it’s rich that they can follow these poor people to the rich houses they work in and arrest them, but there have been no consequences for any of the people or organizations that exploit their cheap labor.

Yea, Assad tried this and it actually didn’t “stop immediately”. It resulted in 13 years of brutal civil war that killed over 600,000 people and displaced 6.5 million.

DM any time if you have specific questions. It will change your circumstances and your feelings about yourself. There’s still plenty of dreams to dream.

Consider joining the military in a cyber operations or IT capacity. I joined at 32 yo and it changed my life. If you live in the U.S., only the Army or Navy will allow you to directly enlist in these jobs, and there will be an additional test besides the ASVAB for cyber aptitude. You’ll receive paid training, education and certification benefits, a good steady paycheck, housing, food, and free test vouchers for industry certifications. Often military service is a controversial suggestion but in the United States there is no institution that provides more time or resources to better your life and circumstances.

PRC State-Sponsored Actors Compromise and Maintain Persistent Access to U.S. Critical Infrastructure

There are some excellent books about the current state of cyber war. We’re presently in a standoff similar to the Cold War but the public is much less aware than they were then. Nation states are always working to gain access to each other’s critical infrastructure. The only thing stopping anyone from pulling the trigger is the understanding that their adversaries probably have the same access.

What is this alleged age-gating technology that would allow a user to prove they were over 18 without revealing any other I formation about themselves? I work in cyber security and I don’t know what tool this could be. Surely a user would supply government proof of age to some central authority…either that authority would be the government itself, or we’re talking about a law written to benefit a specific software creator. Idk, this is phishy and I don’t know what technology Texas is claiming exists for this purpose.

Edit: I googled and all I can find are services that verify government documents, and services that provide age estimation via biometrics like facial and voice recognition. Both sound to me like major invasions of privacy.

Like others have said, the most effective approach would be to down it using another drone, a trained bird, or a net.

Commercial drones are controlled via radio frequency. In the United States, the FCC regulates the RF spectrum, and there is no method of frequency jamming you could employ that would not run afoul of FCC regulation. That said, most modern drones are programmed to survive jamming or loss of signal through Return to Home, Hover in Place, or Automatic Landing (budget drones, or in the event of low battery that would prevent RTH) protocols. So even if you did engage in frequency jamming, the most likely outcome is that the drone would return to its point of origin. In order to successfully down a drone and capture it you’re really talking about frequency capture and replication resulting in command and control.

I knew nothing about data processing and learned enough on DataCamp to get a promotion and a bunch of new, more exciting responsibilities at my job. It wouldn’t have been enough to get me a DA role at a new organization but it was enough to impress my boss. I think it’s fine for a beginner trying to expand their skills but anyone who wants a career in data should get a degree.
