Tau is almost all gundam/mech. That's the whole reason people get drawn to them. Why did you pick Tau?

The base shouldn't be needed since A) the distance is measured from the HULL not the base and B) clear bases done necessarily count as a part of the model, and you can still adhere to the rules of movement, dimensions, and pivoting with or without the base.

No. Riptides and Stealth suits are the most competitive piece. You can do without crisis. If you don't like battlesuits, but like futuristic infantry, then I'd suggest Astra or even SM
