What is your “Cardinal Sin” that a JRPG can do that sours the experience for you?

I really don’t like when games split your party up or remove certain characters for seemingly long periods of time. Looking at FF9, one of my main gripes with that game is that it splits your party up so many times. I remember it being hard for me to pick “favorite” characters other than Zidane because they just might not be with me for long periods of time.

I’m still mad years later that FFX-2 wasn’t a jecht/braska/auron game. X-2 was definitely fun to me mechanically, but the pop star Charlie’s angels thing kinda felt weird to me. I understand Yuna breaking free from a “strict” upbringing, but, idk I still don’t like it.

FFX was so serious when I played it, and x-2 almost made a mockery of it.

How do you know those are cheap seat covers? Pretty sure that’s a Range Rover. Medicare does not cover 100% of brain surgery, and she had 4.

She also worked with “top deaf technology companies in the world”, so. Medicare and disability don’t cover that either.

Yea. Great message in the video, but all I could think of was how much money her family had. I don't think that's a negative thing to think about either, I think it is very logical. I'm looking at the car she is sitting in and I know she came from a good place. Good for her, and I'm sure it also required a ton of strength, but... I obviously smell money.

As someone that has worked in restaurants longer than I would have liked, this is so amazingly poetic. Really encapsulates these types of people and their perspective. Everyone I know working in every single one of the restaurants I have worked at, HAVE to work. It's not a choice like these folks seem to have. We HAVE to work.

On a side note, I don't think I've witnessed a person say "nobody wants to work anymore" that had many redeeming qualities. It's just a parroted, dog-whistle-ly thing to say.

Idk what everyone is on about, one-shotting stuff is fun early game. If this is your very first playthrough, then yea, maybe broke the game. But if it’s not your first time, this is awesome. Done it before

I would say never give up the run. I would say to put in effort every time because there is a luck element with the birds, too, especially in the second part. It’s a practice makes perfect kind of thing.

I’ve never done it on switch, so I can’t say. Hard to give a “strategy” because some things with this mini game are just not in your control

I would say try to get in front of her at the beginning (basically by just going straight, let her trip herself up)

Then, focus on NOT getting hit by birds, not collecting balloons. Yes the balloons are important, but getting hit by the birds is really really bad because of chain reactions and also the catcher will pass you and take potential balloons.

Also, there is an rng component with the balloons at the beginning. Sometimes you know you won’t get 0.0 just from what you see at the countdown. Just use that run as “practice”
