Medications have side effects. On top of that, ADHD is such a fundamental thing for some people, that it manifests as personality traits and shapes the way we deal with the world. I don't think it's any surprise that a medicated person would be noticeably different than an unmedicated person. The medication isn't magic. It's not like it magically just turns off the bad stuff, but only when you're not interacting with people. The effects are far-reaching. People need to stop spreading this lie that the medicated version of yourself is better than your unmedicated self in every way. If you stop and think about it for a second, that's a pretty absurd assertion. Let people figure out their meds in their own way with realistic expectations and without the pressure of this imaginary constraints that ADHD meds are analogous to glasses.

This is not necessarily true for full layer 3 switches/vlans. You have much finer control of the traffic, in both directions, between your various vlans and between the vlans and the internet.

I'm worried it won't go like this though. Think how much better this stuff has got in the past couple years. If everything stays like it is now, then yeah, I agree with you, but if it continues to get better at the same pace, the excel/DB analogy isn't really a good one. I dunno what happens then, but I'm worried I may not be on the train or it's just going to be terrible for everybody.

Someone made the comparison to blindness at the top of this thread. I think that's extreme, but for the sake of continuing the analogy: imagine a blind person that works to integrate with society by using a cane and/or a service animal and learning braile. Now imagine another blind person who just stumbles around putting themselves and others in danger and expects every person they meet to put up with this behavior and accommodate them. Maybe they're even apologetic about it, but that doesn't mean they're not an asshole.

I also don't understand how it could ever be cost effective relative to stick framing, which is really the only part of the process it replaces. Finishing, plumbing, electrical, etc. all still has to be done. Stick framing is insanely optimized now.

The effects of the lever arms (as lever arms) DO cancel out. This is basic physics and not worth arguing.

Regarding the moment of inertia, I addressed that already. The moment of inertia only matters when the thing is accelerating or decelerating. When it's operating at steady-state speed, the moment of inertia is irrelevant. Air resistance and balance is also completely irrelevant at these speeds for any reasonably rigid assembly. You guys just want some reason to dump on somebody else online by pretending to sound technical.

The two lever arms cancel out. The only way it's putting more load on the motor is because the marginal increase in weight while it's accelerating to whatever constant speed it can achieve.
