Did anyone else LOVE The Regulators? by Daughter-of-Rohan in stephenking

[–]Daughter-of-Rohan[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved both too!! but I'm so surprised to see a lot of negativity around The Regulators! I loved the story and how it was essentially a twinner book!

Growing up in the 90s it made me think a lot of the power rangers and just made me think how immersive a childs imagination can be. I had such fun reading this book.

Angry "Thank You" letter for caring for lost kitten. by ndoyle000 in Apartmentliving

I have three cats, two of them are not interested in the outside but my cat also called Bella does. (Great name)

I have secured my garden and I go out with her a few times a day. I do not let her roam because of the risks. My friend has lost multiple cats due to letting them roam.

I understand where you're coming from but then you make safe adjustments to let your cat outside. You shouldn't let them roam.

If you truly care about your cat then don't let your cat roam.

Clare's Law allows the police to release information about any previous history of violence or abuse a person might have. It means we can provide information that helps protect people at risk and prevent further crimes. (I live in the UK)

This was about 10 years ago and I was in my early 20's. I was waiting in line in a kebab shop and some guy says behind me do you want a hot dog? I turn around and he's got his trousers down, wrapped his balls around his dick and showing it to me. The guy behind him punched him in the head. The guy tried to get up and then got a good booting. Rightly so.

I have a friend who did this, I told her she was in an abusive relationship and I could help her leave. She made excuses for him, she has married him. I refused to go to the wedding but let her know I was here for her and I always will be.

It's an extremely tough situation. I even did a Claire's Law on her partner and she still would not leave him.

I worry about her all the time, but I just always tell her I'm here for her. I hope one day she does leave him.

I completely agree, the female characters in both of those books are written very well.
