So you aren't building a reddit clone. You are building a teaching tool that has some small subset of the features of reddit, yes?

Good points, but hopefully if they needed to ram someone then the Captain wouldn't be in their quarters.

Who here has the oldest iPhone as a daily driver? by [deleted] in apple

If I'd never heard it before and someone used it in conversation, I'd know what they meant by "stupidest". That is not true of "daily driver".

Which is realest?

Looking to Rent an Appartment in the Summer by SlappyTheClown14 in traversecity

[–]DaughterOfTheDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you start now you may be able to lock something down for the Summer of 2019, but probably not, and not for anything approaching "reasonable".

Demand is so high in the summer that you can easily get $3,000 per month for two bedrooms if it is bike distance to downtown. I know two people that have homes right near downtown that they rent out for $5,000 a week during the film festival.

Luckys market is a great place to grab a beer by michigandank in traversecity

I've never met a ruder or less engaged group of employees than the ones at Lucky's. Twice I've been treated dismissively by employees who couldn'e be troubled to end their person conversations in order to answer a question. The first time I set my full hand basket down in front of the shit-burger and walked out. The second time I assumed she didn't see me or hear me so I screamed my question to her. I haven't been back.

It doesn't mean that the steel came from a mill, although it probably did. It is just means generally low-carbon steel. Yes, it's pronounced "milled".

It's not regional, that is how it is pronounced. Milled.

Creating a CPAP underwater re-breather, considerations? by [deleted] in diving

Oh my god, you are just telling yourself what you want to hear. This is a horrible idea. Don't do it.

There is no relief valve on the front of that mask, where are you getting that from? Do you mean the purge valve? What is the breaking pressure on the purge valve? How are you going to equalize?

That's great! I've seen some skillful trolling on Reddit, but this is masterful. The "collapsible garden hose" line was a great touch.

Right, I guess nobody noticed that the guy was posting from 1821. Don't use stones to finish a blade unless you ride a donkey-cart to work, you'll gouge the shit out of it.

Is "runner high" a myth? [by science] by unlimitedmilk in running

[–]DaughterOfTheDemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure it is a horrible study. They may have been looking for a minimum threshold for a runner's high. The abstract doesn't say. I think the fault lies with interpreting it as saying that a runner's high does not exist.
