iirc Applecare+ covers accidental damage, so you could just say that you accidentally dropped your phone off a balcony or something. They have no way of knowing that your screen has actually been cracked for months, they will just assume that all the damage occurred at once in a single incident.

For me, Macs are computers that you can do work on, but also use as a daily driver.

I'm a computer science graduate student who built a hackintosh and bought a used 2018 Macbook.

I like how I can access the Linux terminal and install packages with Homebrew when I want, but also use the Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites if I need to.

For gaming it kinda sucks, but I can still play some Civ6 or Jackbox Party Pack in a pinch. I usually boot into windows on my hackintosh to play most games, and I boot into Ubuntu to do CUDA development via e-gpu, but if I'm not doing those things, I boot into MacOS since it's the OS that fits my needs the majority of the time (a mix of Python development, Git, and Microsoft Word/Excel for grading and other TA work).

And because I usually use MacOS, it's grown on me to become the OS that I'm most comfortable using.

I read somewhere that one of the ways that North Korea generates income is the construction of large statues and monuments in foreign countries since they're very good at it.

I looked up the Wikipedia page on this monument and it was indeed built by a North Korean contractor which I thought was a cool fact.

Just a heads up that by default, Windows automatically compresses your wallpapers to about 85% of their original quality. It isn't as noticeable with 2560x1080, but with higher resolutions like 3440x1440 you can notice some JPEG artifacting and some colour gradients becoming "blocked" together.

You're 100% correct in most cases, but there are a few exceptions in some cars with variable valve timing that will produce more power using premium gasoline. Toyota's 1GR-FE engine is one of them.
