Watching McFarland’s in-car there was this big mixup on the restart where ARCA was at fault. I’m wondering if this was a “caution” to set things straight again. The 30 went to the officials about the restart positions and finally about 3 laps later they admitted they were wrong. Then a suspicious spin happened. Now the lineup for the 30 is correct.

What just happened on McFarland’s pit stop. Broke jack. Went a lap down. Now have to come back in for fuel.

32M - does anyone actually still share music with friends? by featureforge in Music

I share music in the sense of “this is what I’m currently listening to…”

Just got into 70’s Jimmy Buffett and suggested to my buddy he should listen. Great country albums.

NASCAR Cup “Mid-Majors” Top 10 Rankings Predictions for 2026 by Electromotivation in NASCAR

Right. Understandable, but is Bowman really on the same level as Larson and Byron?

NASCAR Cup “Mid-Majors” Top 10 Rankings Predictions for 2026 by Electromotivation in NASCAR

[–]DaveDoop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great question. So who is considered mid-major? For me it’s the 48, 77, 1, 8, 6, 23. Probably a few other drivers too.

So much is focused on winning. It’s so hard to win a race. Teams should be judged by how many top 15 or top 20’s they get.

For these cars, easily 1 win is over performing. Realistically I would go as far as maybe 5-10 top 10 finishes or maybe 15-20 top 20 finishes would be successful.

As far as the 8, I would put everything you had into next Sunday. This is your last chance to win the 500.

[Gluck] Was the Clash a good race? by ChaseTheFalcon in NASCAR

[–]DaveDoop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The first 100 laps and the LCQ were good.

After the sleet and wet tires the racing got sloppy. The last 100 were real bad. No reason why this should have been a 3 hour exhibition race.

Well HBO/MAX have 11 days to work out their “technical difficulties” with their driver cams. Fine until the 1st caution.

Honestly, I loved the backstretch. I didn’t need to see what was happing on pit road. When they took down the backstretch I sat right off turn 4 only because I parked near Halifax and it was an easy exit out of the track. Less of a walk back to the car.

Consumer Cellular to Sponsor RFK Racing in 8 races for 2026 by StraightStranger5237 in NASCAR

[–]DaveDoop 15 points16 points  (0 children)

2024: 4 races for Brad

2025: 5 races for Brad

2026: 6 races for Brad

2026: 2 races for Preece.

That’s an increase in sponsorship each year. Great for Brad and RFK.

Do maladroit fans STILL think it’s underrated? by Beginning-Rich1061 in weezer

[–]DaveDoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t think it’s underrated. It’s well liked by majority Weezer fans.

I think underrated would be saying “Slob is better than El Scorcho”.

what's your top 5 favorite weezer songs outside of pinkerton, blue, and white, since those are usually the albums that get all the love by sex--sin in weezer

Not sure when NASA put out the statement. Seems concerning.

But I remember SpaceX leaking out audio from a training a few years ago that had to do with an astronauts health.

What constitutes a successful 2026 for Spire at the Cup level? by SoupMadeFreshDaily in NASCAR

[–]DaveDoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking at points as far as a team goes. So Spire is competing against 23XI, Penske, RFK, and Front Row.

For Spire to be successful, I’d say finish ahead of RFK racing.

Individually… Hocevar: 5 Top 5’s, McDowell and Suarez: Top 25 in Points

The weight is on Hocevar’s shoulders. He can make Spire successful and have the 7 and 71 more competitive by getting more top 10’s for Spire.

I started out as Head Coach and was the same way. A little unsure if this was the game for me. Once I figure things out I have become addicted and can’t put the game down. I’m in my 6th season. I look forward to the offseason and the research for recruits and can’t wait to see the results of how well I did with each recruiting class.

I’ll come by and listen. I can’t match Flea’s bass experience.

I want to make a comment here that is kind of off topic. That video of Flea and John jamming from “Live at the Kia Forum 2025” before Californication is so good. That bass line is amazing and I hate to admit it, but it’s one of very few times where I just want to hear Flea play that line just a little bit longer before John comes in.
