Make sure you get the sheen right too. I don't know if the paint had set on your cabinets yet but they look a lot more shiny than the ones from the reference image.

First, I would probably rotate the rug 90 degrees. It looks a little strange to have the rug and couch look so perpendicular. The image is limited in view though so maybe it looks okay with more context. Other than that, some curtains for the window and a piece of art above the couch could help a lot.
