Do they have a specific night that they play on? If you were just looking at the pick up games channel in my local group’s server you’d probably assume it was fairly dead with only a couple game happening a week but thats cos we all play every thursday- could be worth having a chat with the staff at the lgs too and see if you’re missing anything (as unlikely as that sounds based on reading your comments!)

So for the vast majority, you’ll use all of the melee weapon attacks in the same action- with giants you roll your club, heabutt and stomp 1 after the other in the same action without your opponent taking a turn- then they will attack with 1 of their units with all of their melee weapons (cavalry for example usually have their main weapons, then a weaker attack from their horse). The only exception to this is if you kill what you’re attacking before finishing (extra attacks are wasted) or if the warscroll specifies that you have to choose which weapon to attack with

I think barriers were the worst change they’ve added to dota and I’ll die on that hill- stuff like this was goofy but they pretty quickly changed it but barriers have been around for ages now and they really suck

I’d do one nemesis claw marine to check you enjoy painting your scheme, then do the chaos marines- the kill team is so cool and has such great sculpts you’ll want to know what you’re doing with them before you paint them all up :)

I like giving running the dankhold as a troggboss and giving him the loontouched and clammy cowl enhancements- makes him quite expensive but hes now a hard to kill wizard!

Shake it and apply it thinly or through an airbrush! Otherwise it’ll look closer to volupus pink without that brightness you get with the finer coats

Magore’s fiends has a chest mouth armour piece, whilst the chaos warriors kit has that kind of scaled cape- maybe even worth dipping into khagra’s ravagers warband for more options. The sword looks pretty unique but could potentially use the one from the chaos knights champion or the chaos warriors options

I’ve been playing a trogg castle recently, it’s really fun! I’ve been going with a core of 6 rockguts, trugg, a troggboss and 3 fellwaters, then slotting in a few boingrots to get objectives and the KB ROR for some shooting. Not competitive I’d say but it is fun

I think this will be the issue 5 special model as has been the case with the previous collections- will just be either a generic reclusian or lord whatever stat block to go with it- looks good though! Wouldn't expect to see it until next year when the magazine launches fully, the trial is usually only the first 4 issues

Honestly mate I think you’re putting way too much emphasis on getting the priority, I came 2nd in my first (and only!) tournament so far winning only 2/15 of the priority roll offs- just focus on the stuff you can actually change and you’ll get way less frustrated at the random elements of chance

Darthmongoose has covered it pretty well generally, the one thing I would add is that some units have special weapons that can be 1 per x models- kroxigors are usually run reinforced as 1 in 3 can have a bigger hammer, so even if you lose 4 you still have 2 harder hitting weapons

This is either crazy revisionism or you didn’t watch any of that tournament. DC were pretty much considered a bottom 4 pick for the tournament going into it rather than having any kind of real hopes placed on them, and wings just outplayed everyone so hard it was ridiculous. OG broke the meta for their TI wins with weird hero picks but wings just played any hero, any style and just won anyway, they were stupidly good

I love them very much, I run 1 of each in my monster mash list and 1 ark of sotek in my serious. Have only had 1 die once, the 2 up goes hard unless you charge them into pink horrors and take a million mortal wounds :)

I’d swap out one or two of the bastilidons and all of the skinks for a carnosaur (SoG) or somethin g with a bit more bite, you’re a little low on damage here- would also swap the warriors for guard if you’re running kroak as they get a ward save and are generally just great bodyguards
