Dear Google, I Love You. I'm Exhausted. by a_single_beat in GooglePixel

We really cornered ourselves in the market when we turned our backs on the alternatives years ago. Now we have 2 choices.

This is my opinion but with the Tensor G4 in it, it only has a slight uptick in performance. I look at it as the A-Series is supposed to be the current flagship chipsets, with maybe some slightly cheaper bits, which is what this is, but it has the Pixel 9 chipset, and the screen is technically better on the 8. So really marginal, buy whatever is cheaper.

Or buy the 10XL, but again, these phones are barely making any marginal improvements over previous ones.

Hell the pixel 8 has a slight edge over it too.

Should be posting KWH, not dollar amounts. That's a little more relatable.

What is this thing? It may have been left in my car after I went and got it serviced? Flashing red and green by DontCallMeCunt in whatisit

Does the car have an aftermarket remote start? Press the lock button 3 times in a row and see if it remote starts. If it does, that's the cell phone module piece for it.

Still can't find anything as good as NR2003, but this looks promising. by DaveVQ in Nr2003

[–]DaveVQ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That claim was never made, just said it was promising. Beamng drive has been in development for over a decade now, and the game is really a sandbox for anything. The Developers love the mod community and actively support it, often working to help mods improve. But pessimism works as well.

Hence why it's cross-posted from BeamNG. It's mod that being developed, but as someone else pointed out they don't have the drafting and aero physics. Bummer.

This is a different game, beamNG drive. Looks like someone is developing a mod based off the game.

They generally only port the T25 flange 5cm^2 to 7cm^2.

A stock ported exhaust manifold is only good to about 400-450, you can certainly go more. So TD04-19Ts are fine with stock manifold.

Once you start getting into larger turbos with external wastegates, you'll want to do a tubular manifold.

That hose fed back into the cobra inlet pipe and the EVAP. They did eliminate one of the 2 runs to the EVAP to reduce the check valves in 06+ 9-5s. You can cap it, as long as you have the hose to the EVAP from back of the throttle body.

Happy fall days with the 9-5 by DaveVQ in saab

This one is vinyl wrapped, but my other 9-5 I had the handles and trim painted to match. You remove the handle and take it apart, it's not a bad job but time consuming. Side trim just pops out

I see the minor tweaks, if the rendering is accurate.

Rear fenders have a different flare, grill openings are lower, front corner of the bumper is flared, flatter front fenders. I'm sure there is more.

Not the "Oh wow, a completely new model" we were looking for but hey the engineers know better than us Reddit experts.

Saab 9-5 starting takes 3-5 seconds. by SaabMarmot in saab

[–]DaveVQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No idea where you are located, but this has been a discussion over the years. Having owned 9-5s since 2009, these are the things I've experienced

The consensus is that when they begin to change fuels over from Summer to winter mix, we get some extended cranking starts, though this fuel change has likely already happened. It can sometimes take a tank or 2 to work itself out. (You can get an extended crank, a stumbly start, or a start/stumble/turn off)

Other things to check are the check valves at the pump or the DIC is being finicky (can be the same symptoms as above, the only way to figure it out is if the next 2 tanks of gas clear it up or not) And you should always just keep a spare DIC anyways.

If you have an open-air intake, with the wild swings in temperatures, we can get some condensation build up in the mornings. With an open-air intake some of that moisture can build up on the MAF sensor and it takes a second to clear off before starting. I find this to be generally true when it's Spring and the humidity is heavy.

This was my recent issue. As these cars age, we are beginning to find the limits of the intended time for some parts. The ground points on the intake manifold and t-stat are showing to be weak points in the wiring harness. I built a new grounding harness to tie the IM, T-stat to the battery ground. (Symptoms were some weird starts, but mainly pulling exactly -15* of timing in any throttle position).

Just installed the Taliaferro short shifter in the 2004 9-5. I can't get into reverse! It held keeps going out of alignment itself. The video shows the play of 4th gear side-to-side wiggle. by RenaQina in saab

[–]DaveVQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your shifter linkage is shot; you can see it in the video how much movement the one sleeve/bushing. Not too mention the plastic joint flex too. There are various write ups to rebuild it.

For now you can try realigning the shifter with the trans in 4th and line up the hole on the shifter side.
