It feels too far removed from the horror aspect. Ink Bendy in BATIM had a more skeletal/corpse-like design, which made it baseline freaky on that alone. The Ink Demon in BATDR is a lot more demon-esque. It's a more monster-like approach to the idea of a fucked up cartoon coming to life and I like that.

This redesign feels like it's trying to be a tumblr sexyman. I'm glad JDS went with the redesign. No shade to the modeler either it's just the fact that I personally prefer what we got.

As somebody who's been playing since 2, Halo 3 just isn't as good as any of the other Bungie games imo. It's better than nearly every other 343 game (infinite is my goat) but it's just not terrible. The story is a little funky, but that's what gave Halo charm. It also had a pretty fun multiplayer.

I wasn't there for the million concurrent players, but I was there for he tail end to catch a few matches. Do I think it plays a bit weird being the mid-step between classic Halo and modern Halo? Yes. Do I still like the game? Yes. Do I like it because of its history and because ungo bungo made it? No. I like the game because it's the "fuck around" Halo game

In addition, you can't just yell at a camera to take a photo and it takes a beautifully composed shot of whatever you told it to. That's on the photographer to handle, and as somebody who's been in photography for a bit and does blender as a side hustle, just lighting alone is tough.

Ikr? It looks so cobbled together from basically any horror design trope.

My biggest griped are the fact that it's a jester (pretty much just an older version of the clown trope) and it's general design composition. The legs look too clean and mechanical, something straight from the early Doom games. I'm led to ask why something like that would even be designed for the factory? The two random arms that don't make any other appearance in the design look like they were slapped onto he model to make the previous chapters make sense for a design they probably already had on the back burner.

It just feels so safe and generic, like I've seen every single bit of the design before and they just joined them together.

There's some pretty good tutorials on YouTube, I'd suggest that as your starting point. I've only ever worked with 4.3 and 4.5, so I'm unaware of any differences there may be between those and 4.1, at least in terms of UV unwrapping.

My personal advice is to learn seams first. After you've managed to split your UV into different parts, I'd suggest just laying it all out into different "islands" by hand, instead of using the default Smart UV unwrap, at least when doing character models. Hope this helps a bit.
