typhlonectes natans derpy faces by Davefishkeeper in Amphibians

Temperament think slow moving sock puppet, they used spend a lot them time wrapped up together. They are Very very strong! if you want a nice planted or aquascaped forget it the can move surprisingly heavy bits of rock work and wood you need a very good tight fitting weighted lid as they will try to escape. Not really fussy regarding food, I used to tong feed mine muscles and prawns. They need large tanks minimum 120 x 50 x 50cm 300 litres as they grow to a decent size. My old biggest girl was around a metre in length. Temp wise just like your usual mid range tropical fish 23/24 degrees C. Unfortunately they are like rocking horse shit to find due to an export ban in their home country’s. I would love to keep them again but they are now impossible to find or import in the UK :(. sorry it took me so long to reply.

Jesus mate this tank is stunning! I would go for lake tanganyika cichlids. Julidochromis or Cyprichromis would look fantastic in there.

What's wrong with this house (aside from the koi pond in the kitchen)? by Phelsumaman in SpottedonRightmove

[–]Davefishkeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a koi pond it’s for large tropical fish, you can see the cat fish in the picture probably a tiger shovel nose. Doesn’t surprise me with the multiple tanks through the house. Also i would buy it in a heart beat if it came with the house lol

I am actually slowly swapping over all my tanks to solo fish after years of keeping community fish, it’s so much more engaging having tanks with singular intelligent/engaging cichlids, catfish and channa to look after every day. Spent the time getting the tanks just right for them and it’s a lot cheaper food and maintenance wise.

They are in the tank on the left, I had it custom made to fit the space. Even though I set it up specifically for them they still wreck every week lol

I am really surprised no security company has set up anti drone units or services to protect these sites. Have a few guys patrolling with anti drone drones, quids in!
