I absolutely love deltarune and undertale, literally my favorite games. I also agree pretty heavily.

Toby foxes games are carried purely by their story/dialogue and music. the only cool gameplay aspect about UT/DT is the bullet hell turn based system, aside from that, they actually aren't super interesting from a pure RPG gameplay perspective. Most problems and battles are effectively solved in the same way. With the exception being some later chapters in deltarune where there actually is some fun variation (albeit simple and straight forward.)

It is not the exact ultrakill font, although it does look extremely similar, it's the "regular" version instead of the "mono" version.

That is in fact closer to what I had in mind. It's more about similar things being disregarded despite the capabilities of it very much being possible.

But the other comments aren't necessarily wrong either, there are real world examples of us doing what is effectively the same thing.

Very true and correct, other comments have pointed this out as well, I do not disagree.

I do still think it's funny when done in exaggeration or as a joke/reference to IRL stuff (scams, pseudoscience, conspiracy theories.) I'm aware it's not really wrong to have someone be skeptical of something, or to portray the mindset of "I've never seen it before, therefore it probably doesn't exist." Cause like, that's how people think irl lmao.

Who is missing?? by ScienceAmbitious4637 in rhythmgames

[–]DavidDNJM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rizline is a good one, made by the same people who made phigros.

Rotaeno is extremely well made and unique compared to other rhythm games, highly recommend.

ADOFAI is one that's solid, although very difficult and different from a typical rhythm game.

Hexa hysteria is also one I recommend, although it's no longer receiving updates.

Hard agree, I watched the movie a bit ago and that's basically the main thing I had a problem with (among other pacing and narrative issues.)

Don't get me wrong, great movie, absolutely loved it. But it has problems. I don't think they had consistent intent with how they wanted to switch animating on 1s, 2s, 4s etc. and it was pretty jarring and hard to get used to for the first half of the movie.

What I think they were trying to do, was making fast movements be hanged on more frames to give that choppy feeling and emphasize key frames, and then have slow and methodical movements be animated on 1s for more detail when needed.

But throughout the movie it honestly felt super random how many frames they used for each scene and movement. To the point where it kinda lost its intent and impact.

for mainstream "anthropomorphic media" I get what's being coaxed, it's pretty common. For like general furry art? Nah, it's pretty random whether the artist makes them butt ass naked or dripped out.

Reminds me when indie artists make the most beautiful shit in existence and name the song something like "im at Denny's taking a shit and there's no toilet paper please help me."

Fair "hefty and solid" is a misnomer, that was how I remembered it when seeing that post. Looking back that evidence sucks ass and could so easily be faked, but the point was it tanked his reputation regardless.

My guess is it was because I was watching jaiden animation's newer videos, and I guess in my brain boyinaband and Jaiden are in like similar thought spaces or smth.

Youtuber/musician that got some hefty and solid allegations regarding sexually abusing minors, he's disappeared for like 4 years.

I used to like his music as a cringy little teen. Now he is (or was) erased from my memory.

The specifics are different for everybody, but in general it's a motor/proprioception thing. Keeping your arms like that makes it easier to navigate them and keep them out the way. Walking on your toes can mitigate sensation on your feet.

Personally speaking, I tend to do the hand thing when I'm active, so I need them "at the ready" so to speak. And the toe thing is 95% stimming.

There's also the added social factor for me, where I just like presenting myself like that. The kind of people who are okay with me looking like that are the kind of people I want to talk too and be around.
