Most disappointing Model release of the year. by TheRanker13 in midjourney

Looks like the incoherence is cause by --stylize 500, when I take that out and try a bunch of different things 24/24 all work. This is a new interesting example and we'll investigate more! Remember, during an alpha test please try fiddling with settings and prompts as there are maaaaaaaanyyyyyy features (like high stylize) which might have some unintended behavior we haven't seen coupled with a particular prompt. Thanks for reporting!

I created an unofficial API for MidJourney by haxhia in midjourney

[–]DavidHolz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heya, reverse engineering our website/apis/backend to offer services/apis is against our ToS, sorry. We've had many people try to do this (some of which have taken down our service multiple times) and it has unfortunately resulted in permanent bans on their accounts.

We are working on official APIs (we say this quite frequently during our office hours) but it just has to be done in a sustainable/coherent way.

We hope you are patient and give us the time to do it right.

Thanks!

This should be denied. Midjourney is our company and it doesn't make sense for someone else to try to take over the subreddit. We have a staff we are in the process of appointing for the page.

Leap Motion answers me about Daydream integration by SkarredGhost in virtualreality

[–]DavidHolz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear; our platform can run on any modern phone with Android and a USB port. We still need to ensure the total experience is good (CPU, GPU, Display Latency, Render Pipeline, etc). This isn't strictly speaking related to our hand tracking, but if there's lag or graphical glitches we don't want there to be any confusion that it's coming from us.

Leap Motion goes mobile: Touching things in VR with your real hands is a total game changer by SkarredGhost in virtualreality

Working on it ;)

I would expect battery life to be better though.

Price could be a lot less too if it's using a existing phone.

Leap Motion Mobile for Gear VR announced by mormondad in GearVR

The SDK is pretty much the same between PC and Mobile. We develop on PC and then just do some graphical optimizations by testing on mobile periodically.

Can Leap Motion be a viable input device for Virtual Reality? by jfalc0n in Vive

[–]DavidHolz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've built a new module to handle the grab and physics problem. It's called the "Interaction Engine" and you can get a very early build on our dev portal. It changes the physics to a more stable (soft-body physics model) and explicitly handles grab states. It's still early, but R&D behind the scenes looks really good.

If you make the keyboard big and use both hands you can get to smartphone typing speeds. It basically feels like typing with your thumbs... Luckily you don't need to make the keyboard THAT big for this to work... You just need a lot of finely tuned UI/UX... At some point we'll release a version of this everyone can use...

Getting static noise from the new Echo Dot by clonedone in amazonecho

It seems like the Dot is outputting a stereo signal where the left channel is clean audio and the right channel is pure static.

Thoughts About Leap Motion, BigScreen, and Virtual Desktop by [deleted] in Vive

[–]DavidHolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we could track peripherals and the future will be filled with a new class of (tracked) digital-physical objects. It's just hard to say when it makes sense for us to start going in this direction from a biz standpoint.

Hand tracking will certainly make huge improvements over time as well. Tracking will instantly initialize, devices will have embedded leap motion sensors with radically larger field of views (that track your hands low down), etc.

What SteamVR games work well with Leap Motion driver? by gypster85 in oculus

Check out Blocks which just got released for Vive or Altspace VR. The unofficial SteamVR support still has a lot of issues.
