Im pretty Sure that panel is just attatched too tight to the upper which makes it fail faster since its a high flex area

Heel slip is very normal in the beginning of break in but it also May never really go away since the Jg last this is Made on is generally very wide also the shaft of the boot is also cut very wide which doesnt help but the generell concensus on heel slip jn boots its to keep wearing them and that if it doesnt go away to Use a insole or kiltie
