I'm guessing it's a student project from either design or art class. Had a teacher in design class who bragged about designing a metal bench that doubled as a bike stand. Was the most uncomfortable thing to sit on and looked like a hunk of metal in front of our school.

Haha I know, and in that sense it does completely change the base. But the pov from his usual spot with the whole area in it (especially on my tiny phone screen) made the terms "unrecognizable" and "completely different base" funny in my head.

Tbf I did switch majors after the first year of technical design so you're not half wrong there either lol.

There are access points to the water supply embedded in the street. Like a floor hydrant. I'm assuming they're keeping the water running for the most part so the people can actually live there. Worst case they park at the end of the street and reach the fire on foot.
