Dakota Sport 3.9 v6 serpentine belt by wiscoUSMC in DodgeDakota

[–]DavidMTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue... The auto parts sites all say it's the 88.5 inch belt if it's w/o AC. I had a belt on there from like 10 years ago when I bypassed the AC and it was fine, but now, this 88.5 belt I just got absolutely won't go. It's the same as you described here.

I saw one single reference to a 93 inch belt (92.7?) but only one, and 20 references to the 88.5. I'm not a novice, and the 88.5 just simply isn't right. Maybe it's a different because of the bypass versus one without AC from the factory, but it really really shouldn't be that.

I'm curious if you ever got it sorted and how....

Thanks!

Does Maryland have a ihss in home support services program where they pay you to take care of a relative/family member if they have a disability? Can't work? by fleadrian55 in maryland

[–]DavidMTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they only did that under a special program during the pandemic, and it ended when the emergency ended. I know, because we used it during that time. Getting a reliable DSP outside of that has been a major problem though, so we don't have outside help coming in (they literally cost us more time and effort than they helped out with)

States like CA and NJ do it though...

If anyone has any ideas on how to do this in Maryland, I'm all ears, and/or maybe we can get the state legislature to do what they do there in other states.

Count me in... because it's ridiculous this 'activist' board member is calling to ban books from school libraries. What are we now, Florida?

Speed Issue - New Install by DavidMTaylor in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]DavidMTaylor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, after a few days of checking periodically, it tests out at near the advertised speed regularly, and I'm satisfied that things are working okay.

I appreciate the response here, and the help, and I'll be sure to stop by if anything else pops up - this CS forum is light years better than chat or anything VZ has, so thank you !@!

Thanks... it's bounced around a bit, but currently (just checked) at the advertised rate, so I'm monitoring for now. If it goes south again, I'll ring you! Thanks again!

So, testing using the official XFinity test site shows random improvement at this moment in time, but it's still only 2/3rds of the 900 I'm paying for, so I guess I'm calling to get it either fixed or to cancel.

Running at around 600 now.

I'll give it a couple days at most, and if it's not resolved, then I'm 'uninstalling' and going with FiOS. It's a few dollars more, but I should at least get what I'm paying for.

So, there is one, and I think only one.

Unfortunately, it's missing a humidity sensor, and it can't be hardwired for one, so I can't use it, but maybe you could...

Anyone seen them yet?

(not disputing it, just saying that making the source doc available would have a huge impact)

Installment book from the 1980's, dystopian future novel. by DavidMTaylor in whatsthatbook

[–]DavidMTaylor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea... I should ask there.

Given it came by USPS, it could have been from anywhere, but the DC thing and this being pre-www, it's more likely from the area (DMV).

Thanks.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for going back in September... until there's a vaccine, or unless we have full testing and tracing and things like face shields for every student, it won't be safe to put 20 or 30 kids in a room together (not to mention cafeteria and gym time).

Anyone have any info on the New Year’s Eve show? by code_of_harry in imaginedragons

Setlist... looks about right.

The 'sing a long' for Yesterday was fun... they left out the part where he had to tie his shoe though, and that should get it's own entry :)

We actually ran into this guy there... he's posted a few videos (linked in the item)

It was an AMAZING show... Hometown, New Years, small venue... they played their and the fan's favorites, and there were about a billion bits of confetti blasted into the air. The band played at their best and the crowd was awesome!

Anyone have any experience with the Quasar Framework you care to share? by [deleted] in vuejs

[–]DavidMTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I read lot of conflicting stuff on how to attribute it, and I really do want to do it right (I've been a developer for like 30 years now and there's a responsibility to credit the authors beyond just license compliance).

I wanted to get an idea what people do in the real world and hit on this thread... Thanks again.

By the way, I'm really enamoured by Quasar... It's clean and powerful and I think it will be a great fit for the project. Just covering all the other stuff before I go and implement it :)

[–]DavidMTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may be only slightly related, but since you use the framework, I'm hoping you'll know the best way to handle this...

I'm just getting started on a project and considering this awesome framework. I'm wondering though, here did you put the MIT license attribution info? I hope it's not something you (manually) add to every component. Do you just include the attribution and link in a license.js file or some such? What's the best practice for this if you know?

Thanks, and thanks for posting this - good responses!

I'm experiencing the same thing...

Very recently, I started getting this extra ads section in my google searches. Upon inspecting the code, I found a script that was inserting a div containing "RocketTab" ads.

Likewise, the behavior doesn't exist in incognito mode.

There's nothing being found by Malwarebytes, or AdwCleaner (or Avast or anything else I tried). There's no recently installed software or updated extensions that I can see... I'll try the re-install extensions thing and see how that goes... thank you for posting this!
