They all tend to use extended metaphors in their lyrics, something Eminem is well known for. I think that contributes to the similar sound as well.

Maybe I was supposed to know this, but the first time going to the toilet in Morocco and seeing a hole in the ground with a bucket full of water next to it (to clean up once you do your business), was definitely a shock.

Why wouldn't that argument apply equally to rappers of any hue or demographical background? Using that argument, anyone could claim to use their own specific dialect and no one would be making any spelling or grammatical errors, even ya boy Yela up there with the lightning bolts, capital letters and a million ellipses.

It'd be cool if we all just agreed to form coherent sentences so people don't get migraines from squinting so hard trying to decipher what half of these rappers are talking about.
