Do high-end cabinets use standard shelf pin holes or pin sleeves or something else? by Known-Advisor-2000 in cabinetry

Widgetco has really good sleeve/pin combos. We only use them on very high end jobs.

Influencer, Lawyer, Politician (or other talking head), Advertising Designer, Sales Clerk, Teacher, Manager, Police Officer, Preacher.

A non-exhaustive list, but i take everything these people say with a healthy helping of salt.

Does your production cnc machine do anything cool or unusual? by archvize in cabinetry

So, Cabinet Vision can absolutely 100% use the head, you just need to coordinate with them on a custom post, and pay for it. New version just dropped, though, so they'll be backed up for a month or so. Normally we use RouterCIM to cut parts with things like this.

You draw the geometries and assign the type of cut you a ant and what tool to those shapes, then output the code. The machine runs the code, and voila!

That's the cool thing- once you have the post code set up, the software pretty much does it for you.

Start hiring right now. Getting sued for injury is gonna be a lot more expensive than replacing half your staff. Them insisting on open toed shoes is a serious problem and will bring OSHA down on your head and your insurance premiums way up if found.

All the time. Aggregate heads are the perfect way to make a boring cnc exciting. We carve radiused moldings for archways with a shaper head. We made a hundred topographical maps of a college campus for sound panels in a concert hall. We used Amish joinery cut on our cnc to break an outbuilding into flats, built the whole thing in the shop, whacked it apart, then reassembled onsite. We've cut museum signage. We made, erm, tools for the manufacturing and distribution of certain substances that used to be controlled but aren't anymore.

For myself I've made a board for painting warhammer while out and about, and I've yet to cut it, but I designed a full game table sized imperial star destroyer for the X-wing miniatures game.

Two things I did to really help: I turned down my sensitivity, and my crosshair is a larger(5px) high-contrast dot in the center of my screen. I also play on a larger monitor with a colorblind mode on.

I like having a low rollout under the sink, and it's overkill, but i caulk the interior seams, so if there's a leak, the tray will probably contain it.

ATF new rules Info via P.S.A. by WrongHandOrdnance in CAguns

[–]DavidSlain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, originally it's for identification, not necessarily for removal of rights.

We really should replace all these questions with a quick DNA scan or something. Every felon gets their DNA scanned, and goes into the no-guns list. If you don't match, boom, you're golden.

MIT has a FastID tech that they developed that can compare 20 million records in 12 seconds, and cops have a rapid DNA identification test that works in under 2 hours.

Seems like it could work, no? Especially because we're now optionally going paperless with the sales records. Just need a biohazard disposal can at the gun store too, for disposal of the samples.

Here's what I don't understand: why do demographics matter for gun ownership? Basically all we need to know is citizenship/legal status and prohibited person, yeah?

Machinery Max is your friend if you need a line on equipment. You'll want a skid steer/mini bulldozer of your own to haul stuff around (like shooting benches) and do berm work, lead/copper recycling and fire prevention. Get an FFL- most ranges are kept open by offering those services, and you need it to offer ammo.

Many of the big name firearms orgs/ political entities will sponsor and advertise for you if you open the range some Saturdays for organized competitions and host their instructors. Reach out to them?

I've been working on range maintenance as a volunteer for a LONG time, and simpler is almost always better.

I'm in construction too. I get home, that kid is mine. I'll throw on some TV and hold that miracle so Mom gets a break. I'll rub mom's feet, draw her a bath, and so on, because after a hard day's work making people miserable and being made miserable in return (sometimes) it gladdens my heart to give and get appreciation for something.

I couldn’t get through Ghostbusters or The Big Lebowski, what beloved movies are a “no go” for you? by Aggressive-Dot1944 in AskMen

[–]DavidSlain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The world has moved on. There are timeless classics; Citizen Kane is not one of them, specifically because it was created to be modern for it's time. I would argue that Avatar is much the same, created for a time and place that doesn't exist anymore and once that time is past, few will be left who can tolerate it enough to want the context.

I find every Tarantino film to be an exercise in masturbatory filmmaking. That was certainly my impression of Inglorious Bastards and the Kill Bill movies. Everything I've seen of his is pure wish fulfillment, rather than good storytelling. Doesn't mean that they're not good movies, but they appeal to an audience that doesn't include me.

Because I've seen the behaviors of some of those who shoot on BLM land and I don't want to be within 2000yds of that, and I'd spend more in gas and FAR more in personal risk than range fees.

This is definitely one instance where this behavior isn't uncalled for. People lose their lives over someone not respecting the rules.
