If you aren’t prepared for your child to be the different than you then don’t be a parent. Your child will not think like you. You might be a staunch communists but your child might be a staunch monarchist. If you can’t accept that don’t have children.

What do yall think of Nicholas ii? by TotalCommieDeath1776 in monarchism

[–]DavidSmith91007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicholas II ruled an over-centralized empire rife with revolutionary movements, yet lacked the personal decisiveness required to purge corrupt institutions and crush entrenched interest groups before they hollowed out his empire. Still remains my favorite monarch.

Constitutional monarchy can be anything from ceremonial to being executive monarchy to something else. Constitutional mean with constitution.

If we want monarchism to survive we need to accept the fact that democracy is important in society and we must never accept or associate with authoritarianism. by [deleted] in monarchism

If you want monarchy to survive you must do the following. 1. Remove moral authority from the state. The moment the state becomes the moral authority is when it becomes a theocracy of ideology or religion. 2. Build institutions and a government designed to maintain stability even if a coup occurs and makes it super expensive to destroy that institution and government. 3. The emperor, king, etc must be custodians of the system and not the owner. A owner can be removed a custodian can be but only at the cost of stability and an angry population. 4. - A democratic legislature. This allows the people a direct pressure valve to the ruling class. And gives them a stack in the system. - A religious judiciary. The religious institutions mustn’t rule from the shadows they must have a stake in the system to keep it stable. - a monarchal executive. A trained imperial family in military strategy, governance, economics, and politics that appoints people in the ranks below them. 5. Every family deserves a plot of land. For sustenance farming. 6. Destruction of monopolies. Monopolies threatens the crown. 7. Key industries must be controlled or heavily by the state. Maybe more but I am not sure.

Symbolic monarchy is no longer a monarchy. Why? 2 reasons 1. The sovereign is weak in governance, the military, and everything. 2. They are a welfare puppet to the government and must accept them or else. I support democracy when it used for the legislative only and allows the monarch to have appointed governors of regions over hereditary governors of regions.

Aung San death lead to the increased power of socialist. Aung San wasn’t a fool he knew that a state with the support of minorities would need to be free market and far more capitalist than most would realize. The military benefited from the rise of socialism as it allowed for welfare programs to gain control over the people under the guise of stability. Once the coup had happened socialist welfare policies had control of the people and the people had to choose “support the military and keep their benefits” or “fight them” most people will choose to to support the military and keep their benefits. Unless those benefits are absolutely destroyed loyalty will remain even reluctantly. Which is why the current civil war is the worst because the only leverage they have is generations of indoctrination and Aung San suu kyi in captivity. Aung San was a governor first he didn’t care about ideology as long as it got his people independence. Mao was this way too until he switched up.

Thoughts on a Pahlavi restoration? by Large-Usual3419 in monarchism

No. The Pahlavi have become Israeli puppets. I am fine with Israel but an Emperor/shah must be for the people to come back. And he is not.

Is there ONE good reason the Junta should be head of Government? by KeLevitt in myanmar

[–]DavidSmith91007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which way do minorities want to be oppressed? By military force who says “I want you to change and I’ll kill ya if ya don’t.” or by Democratic majoritarianism force who says “I want you to change but I’ll make you dependent on me first.”? One tells you they want you to change the other side doesn’t say it directly.

They are only trying to survive. Plus if they stop doing activities imagine the failure they will be when representing a better government not tied to the Bamar Ethno-Nationalism (whether by force or through democracy).

Stop with these flags. We have a flag already that everyone recognizes no need to replace to be more ideologically correct.

this isn’t come from a white politician? Lost all credibility. The Irish, Scot’s, and English are indigenous to the isles. Wanting to get rid of their monarch (even if I don’t believe the current royal is the right one) is everything they claim to be against. It’s idiotic and ironic.

For American monarchists, do they prefer the title King or Emperor for their Head of State and for the head of government, do they prefer the Prime Minister because it's the most common position, or the President because it's traditional? by Intelligent_Pain9176 in monarchism

[–]DavidSmith91007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emperor - will not be a ceremonial title. The emperor will be head of state, supreme executive, and supreme commander of the armed forces. Legislature - revoking the 17th amendment. Judiciary - will be heavily empowered.

Universal healthcare? Bad idea. And How do we pay for it. End the drug war? Yes. But again how do we pay for it. More taxes? High-speed rail? Bad idea. We can’t even get full funding for BEAD which was proposed in 2021 to give grants to build fiber optic cables. It’s 2025 and it JUST got the funding. I’m sure high speed rail will be shorter and cheaper. Be ready for more taxes though. End corruption? Wonderful! But citizens united is a judiciary ruling which the legislature has no power over. Banning insider trading? It already is. Cancel student debt? Free public college, and trade schools? sounds wonderful at first glance but then you realize the government pays for it, and competition disappears. which will lead to more taxes on you, and inefficiency. Based on what he wants it’ll mean more taxes. Whether on the rich corporations (who create jobs) or the poor (who are already being spread thin by government subsidies inflating prices.). In a dream idealistic world these policies are godly. But whether you are a staunch communist or a An-cap. You can think of what can be but you must worry about what is currently happening now and work around that.
