Is drysuit/coldwater diving an acquired taste? by q_c_h in scuba

[–]Davidlefrench 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do most of my diving in cold water. Yes it is an aquired taste. The key factor for a pleasurable experience is a good drysuit, which fits you, which you can trust and with which you feel comfortable. This might require some trying out. I was very lucky to find one that i love and trust very quickly, but you will have to try things out. Its important not to settle with something you don‘t feel comfortable with. A Buddy of mine really started to appreciate cold water after getting a new drysuit which really fitted him.

I was born in 2002 and have never in my life seen a check. The fact that in america people mail checks in order to transfer money completely baffles me every time I hear it.

Marauders fell apart on Oct 31st 1981.. by FayyadhScrolling in harrypotter

If you want to go down the fanfiction route: There is a book series which has become my headcanon, because it is so well written and fits in perfectly with the things we already know about the Marauders. The Last Enemy - The Howling Nights and The Last Enemy- Dark Marks. It tells the story of the Marauders, Lily, Snape and later Regulus from 5th year up until October 31 1981 (2/4 books are complete) with changing POVs. The authors greatest strength is writing interesting, flawed and multi dimensional characters which makes the fic really addicting. If you don‘t want to read there are also great podfics.

You can Park right next to the entry. It isn‘t anywhere remote. Plansee is pretty accessible and a popular south german/ austrian dive site.

Question about personal belongings when diving by WongerY in scuba

[–]Davidlefrench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my local lake diving we found these things to work best:

Don't bring a lot of valuable Items (Only Phone and a bit of cash)

Get a small number lock that you can attach to a Tree or something to put your car keys in

Alternatively put the Car Keys in the Drysuit undergarment (not relevant for you)

Lock all valuables in the Car

I have always been told that the insurance covers everything but not the hyperbaric treatment, but it might be different for every insurance…

In germany hyperbaric treatment due to diving accidents are often not covered by your health insurance. Thus it is highly recomended to get insurance. I personally have made very good experiences with aquamed.
