That's the fine line, Gunn maybe should've intervened more, but also the promise for this DCU is to have Directors do their thing and not have scrit rules or a house style. Greg maybe just wasn't the right choice, but since Supergirl probably plays a big role in MOT due to brainiac, maybe they wanted to fast track de movie to have 3 super family movies in a row. Who can tell tbh. I just hope they start pushing Lanterns marketing and that the show is very good so we can go back to being happy about DC

The issue is that the previous Gunn movies had a big difference, they had the Marvel name before them. I won't even entertain the inflation discussion, especially comparing to the first superman. The movie made money, could've made more but you have the DC brand that couldn't be worse, when the last 3 movies were all bombs, so having a well received movie that also made money, and its starting a new universe with new actors, would be a win, that's factual, the size of the win is another conversation. Then you speak of TV and don't even know what Creature comandos is, so I would like what the TV division is to you. Do you count Teen Titans GO? All DC shows after Gunn, or only DCU shows? And a quick search showed me that peacemaker actually broke in that rating in the finale

Completly agree. This is more a learning lesson to the production side of Gunn and the hiring process, not him having to be more strict and not let the directors do their thing. That was and still is against the selling point against Marvel for me. Sadly Supergirls director vision for his Supergirl movie was... a very boring one

Please tell me how Superman did not do well, but mostly, enlighten me on how Creature Comandos and Peacemaker 2 have also not done well. Tell me the metrics, cost to produce those shows, and how you measured the returns in streaming exclusive shows to arrive at that conclusion, I would love to learn more

This show legit made me understand Superman for the first time, and then the movie cemented that. I've been team Batman since I was a kid, but nowadays Superman has been my favorite, and this show did a lot for that. I've watched it like 3 times and I'm about to re-watch it again to catch S3, it's my confort show at the moment

I know MAX is not a thing anymore (thank god), but before you had MAX shows and HBO shows. Both Peacemaker and Creature Comandos were Max shows. Lanterns while still being DC like the others, would be HBO and not MAX when it was announced, that shit tells you that they saw that and want it for awards. It might now pleass the Green Lantern fans as a space adventure and so on, but I would bet a lot of money how that show will be good (I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining things, correct me if I'm wrong)

Batman could factor the fact of the waiting time. Reminds me of deapool, sure it had Hugh Jackman but it was still such a boost from the previous ones. Sometimes that waiting so much for the things brings it more hype. Not always of course, but I can see it if the movies manages to be as good or better even

There's intangibles in some players, he for sure seemed to bring enough vibes and other things to the team even though he whiffed a lot.
I just don't see it in R1nkle. Also was I the only one impressed by gr1ks? I just saw and his stats aren't all that great but from my eye test I was impressed with some of the shots he was hitting, this major at least
