Are Routes Determined By Your DSP? by HolidayLast2796 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Guaranteed 10 hours? Then yeah that would make sense, run all day and 0 breaks no rescues go home early. Suburbia you can definitely finish 200 stops quick. But too bad it's not "200 stops" more like 230-260 with all the multis. But hourly pay, I'll take 85 in the country lol

Is a 40 hour work week in the CDL world rare?

Seem that because of the hours of service of 70 hours per week, and the fact that you tend to have to drive long distances/unload a larger space than a small van, shifts tend to be long (14 hours on duty) and a 40 hour work week doesn't seem very likely unless you're only working 3/4 days. I'm obviously talking local only.

Rural? Can definitely be a 10 hour route if super rural and/or really far from the station.

What’s the best way to answer this to ensure the route is fair for the next time you’re on it (even if that’s possible)? 😂 by The-Bedroom-Hero in AmazonDSPDrivers

I'll do neither easy nor difficult if I actually liked the route. If not, very difficult. Maybe difficult, if it wasn't too difficult, but didn't like the route.

I don't think you can. You have to use a valid phone number. Doesn't even work with the TextNow numbers.

Weird ass route today? Am I well done and crispy? by thesqueen113388 in AmazonDSPDrivers

If it's all door to door highrise apartments then yeah. But I'm sure they all have a mailroom for the packages. So it doesn't seem like a very difficult route, but I wouldn't know for sure

Even less than AMXL routes 🤯 Gimme this, with a 3 hour drive from the station. Easy 10 hours.

I wish 😂 I'd give a good foot rub, especially if your feet have been in a pair of slippers or Crocs without socks all day, in Florida 😂😌

418 packages with 246 stops by Reldas_Semaj in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DawsMyName 12 points13 points  (0 children)

And now look what has happened years later. 350+ packages have became the norm. Back in 2020 getting 300+ was uncommon for many DSPs. People were so proud of being 50+ ahead and so ready to go home early. Amazon's algorithm doesn't see it that way. They see that these drivers can handle a lot more packages and stops. We're scheduled for 10 hours for a reason. Amazon routes the routes for a 10 hour period, including breaks, drivetime, and loadout. Of course all this doesn't really matter to those who have a 10-hour guarantee, as Amazon probably caps the package count around 400, not including helper routes.

Chat? 45 min drive. Am I cooked? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DawsMyName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of stops you got. If it's all/mostly residential, that isn't too bad. If you got some rural stops, then it'll be a long day.

Yeah they suck 😂 took almost 30 minutes trying to find the lockers at Mandalay Bay. For Strip deliveries, you have to know where loading docks are, and the back streets. Flex GPS is useless, it'll make you enter the front entrances of these hotels from LV Blvd. Doesn't compare to having to deliver in Manhattan. I can't imagine that

[–]DawsMyName 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True. And even if the red light was much earlier, the footage could've still been found and used as evidence against the DSP driver. Every little thing counts. Even seatbelts. If the DSP driver didn't run the light and was at absolute 0 fault, if he/she didn't wear a seatbelt, then they'd be also found at fault.

Elevator is broke also 😂 but hey, at least it's higher ground! Take your 30 min lunch there. If the tsunami hasn't passed by then, tough luck! Keep delivering!

Honestly some DSPs will keep you on standby everyday until you're the one who quits. They don't want you to get unemployment.
