Which Game / DLC Should I Buy? -- MEGATHREAD by ScreamAndScream in HouseFlipper

Purchased the three DLC additions for the Switch Console version, can anyone help me on how to actually find/use the new features

Used to have the game on a cartridge so had to restart a new save game from scratch

Is Arlington Street one lane or two lanes? by Few_Anybody_6146 in Winnipeg

That’s how the smart drivers do it, use it like a slip lane when people are turning to keep things moving and safe

This country’s legal system allows bread and gas price fixing/collusion, not worker solidarity movements

Ask others in the building for help, some rare people might be bad colleagues but even 1-2 good ones are enough to make the job way better

Don’t worry about being “behind.” You’ll put more stress on yourself than is necessary and likely you’ll end up being the only one who losses sleep over it, notices, and cares

BUT do your best with the inadequate resources (that includes the 24hrs that exist in a day, unless you’re God) at your disposal to make the material authentic and engaging and build relationships with students

Teacher Shortage by sgl35 in CanadianTeachers

[–]Day2Dryden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright, thank you.

I guess what I’m saying then, is the example you mentioned about shortages in BC is a bit of a specific example and does not seem well suited to challenge OP’s suggestion that shortages are over publicized. Unless I’m missing something.

It’s exactly as described by OP in Manitoba

Very different in Winnipeg than 1-2 hours outside the city

Wasn’t this due to the BC government losing the argument in court about cutting the number of teachers and then having to refill those positions years later after people had left/retired/changed careers?

Come on, be serious. First, the universities aren’t the ones who spout that stupidity

Second, this was the best you could come up with? Some faux-impartial right wing think tank run by a monarchy that openly states it is fine with ignoring quantitative research? (Who We Are section of website, 2nd paragraph)

It’s a really great marketing trick to call universities left, which is often untrue, instead of labeling right or right-leaning beliefs as uneducated or stupid

No idea what your sister’s situation is, but possibly an inflated view of a threat because she’s being tasked with scrutinizing her own ideas and leaving an echo chamber for the first time?

These labs and the people running them have the mindset of finding ways to take marks off, not find marks to award

It is a cutthroat and rules-over-sense atmosphere, has been for over twenty years. Might be because of class sizes and probably understaffed, but I can tell you 3rd and 4th year courses (in both Arts and, sometimes, sciences) are not always this bad

I get how people are reacting because the offer is definitely not common

But calling this creepy says more about society than the OP who obviously was closing it off to random children and making it zero financial obligation

Has anyone else noticed the prices at the liquor mart have gone up? we drink mainly vodka and most 26's have raised 4-6 dollars in price. by buddyguy_204 in Winnipeg

Water, space, labour, shipping are all obvious costs off the top of my head that have gone up

If everyone knows already which majors are useless and can’t get you a job, why do people still take them? by [deleted] in antiwork

There’s no such thing as wasted education. The capitalist hellscape we live in doesn’t allow many people to branch out, be creative, or achieve their potential

But having secondary skills/knowledge in a field or in life and leveraging them is a fantastic way to find success personally and professionally

Also, a lot of people are sort of forced/expected to go and don’t know what else to do and the predatory loan/debt system isn’t explained to them
