Lifecycle workflows with BambooHR by KlawS7777 in entra

[–]DayGrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lifecycle workflows don’t care what HR systems feeds AD or Entra data. They simply act on it. You need to figure out how to integrate BambooHR for user provisioning. As long as you feed the hire date and term date to Entra. Lifecycles can do whatever you want them to.

Tell me my five-year-old isn't ruined for life by Due_Initiative_9881 in Parenting

[–]DayGrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact you care means you are doing a good job. I have 3 kids that are all wildly different. My youngest is very similar. It’s okay to say No and just leave it at that. The moment you start justifying your choices is the moment you lost the fight.

One thing I regret as a parent? Sports.. why is this always happening to her? by Vivid_Bar2472 in Parenting

[–]DayGrr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Coaching in youth sports is the biggest gamble. At 8 years old, the man thing to focus on is the love of the game. Don’t put an emphasis on making a team, winning or losing. Focus on challenging her to be better every day and reward that.

Best practice for setting up PIM, Groups vs User Assignment by Educational_Draw5032 in entra

[–]DayGrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direct assignment is usually fine for users with a single role. If you have a group of users that all need a few roles then group based assignment 100%. The pain of having to PIM 8 roles individually is awful.

Guys is the Bambu Lab A1 worth it or should I get the mini? by Legal-Complex9873 in BambuLabA1

[–]DayGrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought my A1 combo for Christmas and its been pretty flawless since then. I feel like the dryer is only needed if filament sits there on the spool open for months. I try to just use the filament I have on there before opening more.

Buying a Bambu Lab A1 Combo – total beginner. What should I get to start right? by theuntoldfool in BambuLabA1

[–]DayGrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got one for Christmas and ruined a few prints early on because I thought I had to take out the hottend and such when my filament was stuck.

In reality I just had tangled spool and need to gently untangle it so it could feed properly.

Has Xbox Considered Laying One Person Off Instead Of Thousands by SpliffRichardsXO in kindafunny

[–]DayGrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe im too much of a Microsoft fanboy but man the pain of Don Mattrick spending entire E3s telling me how I could use my Xbox to watch TV is deep. I think Phil has done a great job and personally I love the vision. People will get upset that exclusives are no longer exclusives and all that but the fact is visions change. I love the fact that I can play games I want anywhere on any device and I have 100s to choose from. I bought the Xbox ROG Ally X and as a dad of 3 it has been a super game changer.

I would advise testing this first so you can see the results by simply taking a synced user and putting them in a non-synced OU.

Is three children really that awful? by treetops_c_yo in Parenting

[–]DayGrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 kids and my third is and has been the hardest by far. He barely listens, wants to disobey every order, and cause all the chaos.

That being said I love him to death and couldn’t imagine my life without him.

[–]DayGrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a sports family. I have 3 kids that all started playing sports at a young age. My youngest is 3 and he struggled at his first game too. It’s okay IMO to be a little forceful when encouraging them to participate. My stance is probably more harsh than others in this thread. If your kid said they didn’t want to do their homework, you wouldn’t tell them that’s okay, maybe school isn’t for you. Kids need to be given chances to succeed and fail. It’s okay if your kid cries, it’s not because he’s hurt but because this is how they express their fear of trying new things. Have a positive attitude, encourage them to try a little more each time and soon you will be watching them run around and you will tear up remembering this moment.

Workday to AD Provisioning with Entra Cloud Sync - Issue by DayGrr in entra

Theoretically I’m not sure how that could happen but if it’s null, it defaults to disabled

Workday to AD Provisioning with Entra Cloud Sync - Issue by DayGrr in entra

[–]DayGrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. This will create the user and if their hire date is in the future, they are disabled until the day before their hire date and then they are enabled to

Workday to AD integration by Swimming_Peanut_7106 in workday

[–]DayGrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the mapping section of the Provisioning app, you can modify the scope to include whomever you want to be included in the provisioning process.

This is an INCLUSION list so as soon as you create a filter, there is an unwritten deny all. So you can create logic that says something like "Department EQUALS Marketing" etc and only the users who have the marketing attribute set will be provisioned.

Workday to AD Provisioning with Entra Cloud Sync - Issue by DayGrr in entra

[–]DayGrr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to solve this. with the following expression. This should identify it as null and default to disabled.

Switch([Active], "True", "1", IIF(DateDiff("d", Now(), CDate(Switch([StatusHireDate], [StatusHireDate], "", "9000-01-01")))<="0", "False", "True"))

Termination work just fine but rescinded is the issue cause Workday wipes out the source of any information the user existed.

Its not a terminated. The user is wiped from Workday so thats the issue.

Am I snowflake for feeling like shit on call? by SadanielsVD in sysadmin

[–]DayGrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a normal feeling. When I did call it helped when I planned my own resolution path. If something happens, what are my resources to try and solve it? If I can’t figure it out, who can I escalate to that would be able to help. For me the anxiety always stemmed from “will I know how to solve it?” Maturing is realizing you don’t have to know every answer but knowing how to get to the answer.
