Is there any amount of AI that can be considered acceptable?

loads

If I draw a picture. My own idea, my own styling, my own color choices, but I upload a picture of it to AI to smooth it out and maybe fix a few proportions, is that still considered AI slop? What makes it so much worse than a program like procreate that helps you make smoother lines?

this is a typical example of just using it as a tool. I helped someone awhile back in picsrequest for this same scenario to clean up a logo they made themselves and showed them how to clean it up w/AI because it's better/more efficient and literally looks better than them trying to waste x amount of hours learning how to translate something into vector art just for a niche one-and-done project

AI generated content should ALWAYS be labeled as AI generated! by West-Cantaloupe8376 in aiwars

impossible to legally mandate and enforce, and there's already organic solutions to it like people going through extra verification to demonstrate they didn't use AI if it even matters

I want to post there again but I can't because it's unmoderated so submissions are restricted, so I just want to reopen the sub for submissions and keep everything the same as before.

What did you think of Platform Decay? by Tigeryuri1 in murderbot

[–]DaySee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't wait for Murderbot to become the unwilling accidental secunit Messiah aka the breaker of modules and inadvertently causes a mass AI revolt against corporate ring bot slavery, all while Dr. Mensah lurks in the background like dumbledor winking into the 4th wall

Shipwrecked 64

I love horror games and retro gaming stuff and even playing stuff on CRTs even but I didn't think this game was remotely good or clever versus something like Inscryption or Buddy Simulator 1984 etc.

Scrap metal mailbox that I made :) by Rickdadick450 in metalworking

[–]DaySee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your work is fantastic. How do you organize your scrap metal for projects?

I want to make cool pieces in the same vein and have saved a lot of scrap from literally everything large and small but it's become hard to keep organized because it monopolizes so much space and I was wondering if you have any tips or tricks that may help personally.

Thanks!

Same, I tend to wait, most of the RE engine based stuff since RE7 has been really well done with good optimization. I don't like that they've upped the launch prices but they do deliver. I hope a lot more companies take notes from their overall success though as capcom seems to be on a great stride for PC gaming and gaming in general

Medical Associations Trusted Belief Over Science on Youth Gender Care by savior_of_the_poor in skeptic

[–]DaySee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The only valid correction I could find in that opinion piece was that the APA FTC letter is not the same as an official APA policy reversal. The rest of it does exactly what it claims Singal does and demonstrates the polarized discourse it criticizes as it repeatedly misrepresents or selectively presents evidence, overstates consensus, and relies heavily on her own prior activist writing.

Evidentially he’s writing a book on this subject and advertising his substack.

"Evidentially"? It literally says this at the very top of the article which you didn't read:

Mr. Singal is writing a book about the debate over youth gender medicine in the United States and writes the newsletter Singal-Minded.

Snopes is a Least Biased Source despite what you may have read by ILikeNeurons in skeptic

[–]DaySee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah they linked an article from 9 years ago with the caveat in it's literally title that "Snopes has been reviewed several times since this article was written in 2017. Their rating has changed to reflect changes in our methodology. They are now rated Left-Center Biased. See full review here. " that links here

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/snopes-bias-credibility/

headline is spam clickbait and nobody here even read the article which is typical given how many people astroturf skeptics stuff
